$190,000 Windfall for Fox River Grove

Masthead for one of Andrew Gasser’s blog pages.

Who would have thought the Finance and Administration Committee Meeting of the Village of Fox River Grove could be so newsworthy?

Fox River Grove Algonquin 4 Precinct Committeeman Andrew Gasser has a “News” button on his blog and, for those interested in what’s happening in Fox River Grove, it is rapidly becoming a primary source.

Today Gasser writes of a windfall of $190,000 received by Village government. For the source of the cash, you’ll have to go to his blog.

But Gasser does ask these questions, among others, about its disposition:

How big is $190,000 to Fox River Grove?

Property taxes collected in McHenry County will be about $782,366 and Lake County’s 158,518.

So the $190,000 is more than the property taxes collected on homes and businesses in Lake County.

$190,000 Windfall for Fox River Grove — 3 Comments

  1. Would Andrew know how much Fox River Grove takes in on their “red light stop” at Rt. 22 and 14?

Also, who’s the hearing officer that makes easy money overseeing any appeals?

  2. Congratulations, the Grove is finally getting a new Metra Train Depot.

Don’t forget to put in bunk beds for the bums that over-night there.

Also bathrooms for the bums so they don’t urinate all over the trash cans.

  3. So this means the state is giving out $191,000 that it doesn’t have?
