A press release from Grafton Township Supervisor Linda Moore:

Linda Moore Announces Her Bid for Re-Election as Grafton Township Supervisor

Huntley, IL – Linda Moore is announcing that she will seek re-election as Supervisor of Grafton Township, McHenry County, Illinois.

Moore has kept her campaign promise to stop the construction of an unnecessary multi-million dollar township hall. Every four years all township officials must be elected, including trustees, highway commissioner, supervisor, clerk and assessor. In addition to beating back the efforts to build a township hall, which would cost the taxpayers $5 million dollars (including interest), Moore has

  • Voted “NO” to increasing your property tax bill three consecutive years.
  • Voted against deficit budget
  • 3 years favorable independent audits filed with State Comptroller’s Office

Linda has been married to her husband David for 27 years and has two grown children. She has been a lifelong resident of Grafton Township. Moore has been the Republican Precinct Committeeman for Sun City Grafton Township Precinct 26 for five years. She has also served as the Grafton Township Republican Central Committee Treasurer, she is a member of the Huntley Tea Party, and is the Secretary for the McHenry County Supervisor’s Association.

  1. This is good to hear Linda.

Now if only you could get 4 trustees that would put GRAFTON TOWNSHIP firsrt.

The 4 that are in now do not care at all about the township.

They have one thing on their minds and that is to get you, to heck with township business, get Linda comes first.

If nothing else Thank You for saving the taxpayers millions of dollars.

If they would ever get the chance that would be the first thing they would do SPEND, SPEND, SPEND but still not pay the bills THEY have now.

They just cannot put up with new government.

HELLO, HUNTLEY is not like it was years ago ,2 families do not control it anymore.

If you won’t accept this get out of office.

  2. A new playpen was more important to these 4 trustees than a smooth running township.

    What a sad crew.

  3. Did you know that the 4 trustees want to eliminate half of the bingo days? So they do not care about a smooth runningt township nor do they care about entertainment for seniors. What a crew!

  4. Let’s just say bye bye to townships. Archaic form of expensive government.

  5. The loss of bingo days upsets you, yet you don’t seem bothered that Linda has squandered over half a million dollars SINCE the building issue ENDED? Amazing. How do you feel about Linda refusing Judge Caldwell’s order to pay the Forensicon bill?

  6. I thought it was the Zillers, Tom Halat and a bunch of other folks that stopped the Taj Mahal office building. Linda did not do that. She can’t get along with her own family, let alone the electors. What will be most interesting will be who runs against her and against the other trustees.

  7. Of course senior bingo is the focus because Mrs. Moore loves to play games. What has she done for the rest of the community? How is she qualified to lead our community into the future?

  8. Not really surprised that one of Linda’s close personal buddies is amongst the first to post. I agree with a previous poster: loss of bingo days = BIG DEAL; loss of $600,000 (yup, it’s at that level now and no end in sight) in frivolous lawyer fees = NO BIG DEAL. Accountability over bingo days but not over taxpayer dollars or transparency – stunning, absolutely stunning.

  9. Just an FYI –

Linda Moore DID NOT start Grafton Township’s Senior Bingo program.

Senior Bingo was started by Trustee Betty Zirk long before Linda was elected.

Pam Fender brought the rest of the new programs to Grafton Township.

Linda Moore has no new ideas.

  10. Why is it when the debate is over, SLANDER becomes the topic?

  11. I didn’t vote for Moore to by my committeeman, and neither did my neighbors.

She must have been appointed – and she’s not getting any of our votes for anything in the future.

She needs to make like a tree and leave.

  12. Moore just love her revisionist history, doesn’t she?!?!

The only things she stopped in Grafton are: progress, transparency and checks to vendors.

That Moore picture is quite dated.

A better one would be the one showing her aged three years with crows feet and frumping.

  13. Who in their right mind would vote for any of the current board?

The only way to fix this problem is with a entire new slate.
