Dee Beaubien (Ind.-Madigan) Walking in Cary, Photos in Madigan and “Independent” Literature Taken at Same Time

I thought I might get through a day without writing about the hotly contested 52 District State Rep. race.

But no.

“Independent” on the ballot Dee Beaubien, with $20,000 of reported campaign contributions for

  • two staffers
  • two mailings
  • a poll

was knocking on doors in Cary this evening.

You can see her walk piece, which is “Paid for by Citizens for Dee Beaubien,” below:

Here’s the back of the walk piece:

Compare the people in the picture of Dee Beaubien mingling above with the one below whose postage was financed by the Democratic Party of Illinois:

The address side of Dee Beaubien’s second mailing.

Notice the same people in different positions?

Now compare the people in both of these photos with the ones in the first mailing below:

Anyone want to dispute that they were taken in the same photo shoot?

  1. Go Dee Go. Do you see the list of prominent Republicans supporting Dee?

  2. LCTruth:

Yep. That list should motivate even more people to support McSweeney. As an interested observer, what I think will be interesting, but impossible to measure, is how many people will vote for faux independent Dee just because they have been conditioned to support the last name. Similarly, how many will support McSweeney just because he is GOP. McSweeney should just send another mailer with Andrew Gasser’s Dee/Madigan image on one side and declare himself a true independent on the other with some bullet points. That Madigan image could be the most powerful statement of the race if used correctly.
