If you lived in the 52nd State Rep. District and you were on the target list for State Rep. candidates Dave McSweeney (R-Barrington Hills) and Dee Beaubien (Ind.-Madigan), you would be receiving 2-3 mailings a week from both candidates.
Saturday, each candidate’s latest oversized post card got delivered.
Let’s look at Beaubien’s first. (I find them more reader-friendly than I do the McSweeney ones.)
The back of Beaubien’s piece is below:
The pension theme makes me wonder if Dee Beaubien has turned down her late husband’s pension.
Now let’s compare the Democrats post card with that of Republican David McSweeney.
As these pieces make their way to the garbage can, which do you think make the biggest impression?
What was that impression?
There are foot notes, but the print is as small as that on Beaubien’s pieces identifying their sender as the Illinois Democratic Party.
Compare the back of McSweeney’s piece to the back of Beaubien’s.
As these pieces make their way to the garbage can, what impression might stick with voters?
Still waiting for that source on the “fair” quote that McSweeney is using.
Come on Cal – you’re a reporter. Can’t you ask for the actual source/quote?
Cal – why do you continually refuse to respond to this line of questioning? You clearly are supporting McSweeney.
Can you answer the question about where this “fair” quote comes from? And if not, why don’t you ask the McSweeney campaign?
We’re in the district and have not been receiving any Beaubien mailings at all.
Apparently Dee has already written us off in the staunch R category.
