Hebron Township Slashes Supervisor’s & Road Commissioner’s Salaries

The Hebron Township Board has cut the Supervisor’s and the Road Commissioner’s salaries significantly for the next occupants of those offices.

The Supervisor’s salary is now $18,850. After the election it will be cut almost in half to $9,600.

The Road Commissioner gets paid $50,500. The pay will be cut to $36,000 for the first two years of the new term that starts next May. It will rise $500 a year in 2015-16 and 2016-17.

The Assessor now earns $32,000 a year. That salary will be frozen for the first two years of the new term. in 2016 and 2017, the salary will be $32,500.

The Township Clerk will see a $1,000 salary increase the first and second years of the new term. It will rise from $6,000 to $7,000. For the third and fourth year, it will increase $500 a year.

Trustees will be paid $75 a meeting, while Planning Commissioners will earn $25 a meeting.

  1. Would someone let Algonquin Twp. know that the economy is in bad shape??

  2. Looks like Algonquin Township are the greedy ones. It’s not too late to correct that if they really want to.
