“Chainsaw Jack” Picks Up Another $1,000 from an Electric Company

Remember that bill to allow electric companies to cut down any tree within 20 feet of a power line?

That was on top of Franks’ voting for the so-called “Smart Grid” bill, which really was a rate hike end run around the Illinois Commerce Commission.

You can bet electric companies ComEd and Ameren were happy.

Now, contributions from Commonwealth Edison might raise some constituents’ eyebrows, but a check from Ameren?

Jack Franks gets another $1,000 from an electric company…not ComEd, but its counterpart in southern Illinois.

What’s Ameren?

A patriotic political group?
