McSweeney Ad on Fox Cable TV

I didn’t get shots of all of the screens on David McSweeney’s cable TV ad on Fox News, but I did catch a couple, which you can see below.

It is a hit of opponent Dee Beaubien, who is running as an independent, but who is very heavily financed by Mike Madigan Political Action Committees.

The screen I got after figuring out what I was watching say,s” Dee Beaubien said taking 67% more from paychecks:  ‘fair.'”

Next up is a photo of Democratic Party Chairman and House Speaker Mike Madigan.

McSweeney points out that Dee Beaubien is “bankrolled by Chicago political bosses.”

I didn’t get a clear photo of McSweeney talking to someone with skyscrapers in the background, but the one of his walking with his wife turned out.

  1. So McSweeney has dropped in footnote connecting that made-up Dee Beaubien quote to a Tribune article that has her saying the opposite. I can not believe he’s not being held accountable for building his campaign around a flat-out lie.

  2. Sorry first sentence should read “So McSweeney has dropped the footnote connecting that made-up Dee Beaubien quote to a Tribune article that has her saying the opposite.”

  3. Cal- are you only willing to challenge candidates that you disagree with, and ignore the lies from those you agree with?

Where does the “fair” quote come from? What is the complete cquote, in context?

  4. FYI I have called McSweeney’s campaign directly and gotten no response to my question.

  5. Oh look… “What a laugh” is back.

And he or she is still making the same assertion, without anyone backin it up.

    Just like McSweeney.

    Maybe they’re the same person?

  6. And look at the comments…where I receive additional information from the Trib, making it clearly that McSweeney is blatantly distorting what Dee said.
