Jack Roeser Says His $100,000 Contribution to McSweeney Intended to Counter Mike Madigan’s Election Influence

A press release from Jack Roeser:

Roeser Calls Out IL Despot Mike Madigan for Usurping 52nd District Race Where No Democrat Is Running

Backs Up Words with $100,000 Contribution to the Republican Candidate

BARRINGTON, IL – Barrington resident Jack Roeser called out Illinois Speaker and Chairman of the Illinois Democrats Mike Madigan today for injecting his patented brand of hyper-partisanship into the race for State Representative and backed up his words with a significant campaign contribution to Republican candidate David McSweeney.

“Residents looked forward to a race of ideas here in the 52nd District with a Republican and Independent candidate each leaning on their respective experiences to discuss how to rescue Illinois from its dire financial condition.

“Unfortunately, Mike Madigan, ruler of Illinois for over 30 years and the man most responsible for the desolation of our once great state, has usurped the potential of this campaign and taken over the Independent candidate’s race with nearly two hundred thousand dollars in campaign contributions, misleading advertisements, negative mailers, and Democrat staffers,” Roeser lamented.

Jack Roeser

“To show my disgust with Mike Madigan’s involvement, I have personally contributed an additional $100,000 to David McSweeney’s campaign, the largest personal contribution to a Republican candidate in Illinois in 2012.”

According to the State Board of Elections, Mike Madigan and his allies have contributed at least $184,848.78 to Independent candidate Dee Beaubien’s election bid as of Saturday, October 6th.

Roeser’s contribution of $100,000 to the McSweeney campaign was made this past Friday evening, October 5th, after a neighbor of his received yet another mailer sent by a Michael Madigan-controlled organization.

“Of course the mailer contained the standard lies and misleading attacks on McSweeney that have become the foundation for Mike Madigan’s campaigns, using negative attacks to cover up his record of bankrupting Illinois all fueled by the torrent of money flowing from the IEA and other public sector unions.

Roeser concluded: “Without Mike Madigan’s influence, I had hoped we could see a reasonable discussion on issues such as reforming pensions in a state nearly bankrupt thanks to our $83 billion pension liability, fixing education in a state with the highest high school dropout rate in the nation, and balancing the budget in a state with over $8.5 billion in unpaid bills.

“Instead, we are subjected to the tactics of a man desperate to retain power.

“Madigan’s actions have left voters no choice but to look at this race as a referendum on the devastating results of Madigan’s failed dictatorial rule, a debacle that the Independent candidate will have no choice but to vote to continue if elected.”

  1. LOL…
    **despot**

    Despot? Really?

    **hyper-partisanship**

Someone will have to explain to me how it is MADIGAN’s “hyper-partisanship” by supporting an independent candidate, and not ROESER’s “hyper-partisanship” for attacking Dee for taking Democrat support.

I’m pretty sure Roeser doesn’t understand what “hyper-partisanship” actually is.

**we are subjected to the tactics of a man desperate to retain power.**

Haha… desperate? Roeser thinks that Madigan’s retaining of power hinges on Dee? That is funny.

  2. @Sharon – McSweeney sure doesn’t.

This year he’s attempted to remove anyone from the ballot that had the nerve to run against him.

  3. Nick P. and Dave McSweenry and many others or using up the old man Roesers money.

    they are leaches

  4. Hey…..Conservatives are intellectually right on the issues. Dems and Liberals are simply WRONG.

Jack Roeser is a total nut-job….but he’s way out on the angry fringe.

McSweeney and other local Republicans are rational, reasonable Conservatives.

Dee Beaubien is a Left wing nut-job.

She’s on the fringe like Roeser….it’s just she’s on the fringe AND she’s wrong on the issues.

Beaubien is a double political loser.

  5. How many people still have a long standing successful manufacturing firm along the Fox River in the Chicago suburbs?

You should thank your lucky stars the man is still in Illinois and has not bailed.

Someone has to generate tax revenue to support government.

  6. This has nothing to do with whether or not he has a successful business.

He’s still a right-wing extremist, and politicians would be wise to stay far, far away from him.

Y’ll are really good at arguing strawmen.

No one is saying that Roeser doesn’t have a successful business, or doesn’t do some good things.

What we ARE saying is that his political ideologies are extremist.

And not one of you Roeser defenders have actually responded to that.
