Hultgren on Israel

A press release from Congressman Randy Hultgren:

Hultgren Statement on Israel

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today released the following statement on recent events in Israel:

“No population should have to suffer the constant fear of having your home and your family threatened, but that is the situation millions of Israelis find themselves in today. Hamas and other militant groups are firing rockets at innocent civilians, and the world is shocked and saddened by the human cost of their actions.

“We, as a nation, stand by Israel in its time of need and reaffirm our commitment to aid them in their fight against this violent extremism.”

  1. If we stand with Israel we need to actually stand for them.

We elect them to be a voice.

Where is the volume control and intensity level?

    Where is the public outcry?

Sorry to disturb you, go back to sleep.

  2. It’s statements like these about Congressman Randy Hultgren which get people talking and looking for alternatives. Today’s Aurora Beacon-News had an interesting column today, and included this interesting excerpt pushing for a replacement of Hultgren with a very familiar name:

“And immediately after you plunged that cold dagger into my still beating heart, 51 percent of you gave it a sharp twist it by voting for Republican Congressman Randy Hultgren. Granted, the 14th barely touches the City of Lights [Aurora], but suddenly a Democrat isn’t good enough for you?

“Aside from endorsing two Kane County chair candidates, there’s nothing inherently wrong with Hultgren, but there’s nothing to get excited about either. And the last thing we need is another Republican place holder.

“Though I’m certainly no fan of his father, it may be time to start working on Elburn Trustee Ethan Hastert to finally put us out of our Hultgren misery.”

You can read the entire column by the Beacon-News’ Jeff Ward here:

And finally, let’s not forget, our friend Joe Walsh lives in the 14th district. If Hultgren decides to run for something else, or if Denny Hastert’s son decides to challenge Hultgren, maybe it’ll be time to dust-off those “Walsh for Congress” signs?
