Forty years ago Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Doe v. Bolton is the decision, little noticed at the time, that allows an abortion for the health of the mother. The term “health” is defined every so broadly.

  1. Nice “ever so broadly” there, talking about the life of the mother. We should disregard the life of the mother aways and forever, amen.

You slay me (when you write).

  2. Losing? The dithering decision in RoeWade limited abortion to “viabliity”, generally the first twenty-four/twenty-eight weeks.

    What’s it up to now?

  3. The companion decision to Roe v Wade is Doe v Bolton.

It refers to the “health” of the mother, which is defined so broadly that an abortion is legal in states like Illinois up to the day of birth.

  4. A 100 years from now they will be discussing how Republicans only discussed three things Abortion, Immigration and Welfare.

Republicans will be like Whigs just another party that ended up taking a dirt nap because it couldn’t address the issues that were important to people.

Instead, the Republican party wanted to tell people what was important to them.

    Goodnight GOP.
