McSweeney Schedules Island Lake Towns Hall Meeting, Wants to Hear about Property Taxes

McSweeney to Host 2nd Town Hall Meeting & Traveling Office Hours

ISLAND LAKE, IL – State Representative David McSweeney (R-Barrington Hills) announced today that he will be hosting his second town hall meeting on March 16th at the Island Lake Village Hall.

McSweeney hopes for an interactive discussion with constituents about state and local issues affecting the communities in the 52nd district with a special emphasis on property taxes.

“Last month we hosted our first Town Hall meeting in Cary and over 50 people attended,” said McSweeney. “

“We had a great discussion and I got constructive feedback that I consider when voting on legislation.

“For this Town Hall meeting, I really want to hear my constituent’s thoughts on their property taxes.”

McSweeney has pledged to host a Town Hall meeting once a month in all parts of the 52nd district. The Town Hall meetings will be followed by a visit to a local business or grocery store to meet and talk with constituents. Following the Town Hall on the 16th, McSweeney will be available at Jewel-Osco in Wauconda.

The Town Hall is free to the public and media, all residents are encouraged to attend.
