Mental Health Board Has Another Vacancy

The 708 Board, mired in controversy, has the fifth vacancy this year, as you can see in the press release below:

The McHenry County Board is accepting applications from individuals interested in appointment to the McHenry County Mental Health Board.

One term is available with a term that will expire on January 1, 2015.

Application forms are available at the County Board Office, Room 209, McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock, IL 60098 (815-334-4221) or at the County’s website at http://www.co.mchenry.il.us/departments/countyboard/PDFDocs/AppointmentApp.pdf. Completed applications should be returned to the County Board office no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013. If mailing your application, certified or registered mail is recommended. Mailed applications should be sent to the following address: McHenry County Board, 2200 North Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL 60098.

These are unpaid appointments.

Members are expected to prepare and attend one to two meetings monthly, usually held in the evening hours, in addition to serving on at least one committee.

No member of the community Mental Health Board may be a full-time or part-time employee of the Department of Human Services or a board member, employee or any other individual receiving compensation from any facility or service operating under contract to the board.

The Board is particularly interested in nominations which represent the faith based community, consumers of services and the Latino community at this time.
