Educational Presentation: Award-Winning Film on Nullification

The Foundation for a Free Society, in conjunction with the Fox Valley Libertarian Party, presents the Foundation’s award-winning film “Nullification: The Rightful Remedy” on March 23rd at the Algonquin Township Center in Crystal Lake. Foundation for a Free Society Board member and Libertarian Party Vice Chair, Lee Wrights, will provide an introduction about the Foundation and the 10th Amendment before the start of the film. The event will begin at 2 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

“The Tenth Amendment, in my opinion, is one of the most important amendments included in our Bill of Rights, ranking right up there with freedom of speech and the right to keep and bear arms. The Tenth Amendment makes explicit the idea that the federal government is limited only to the powers granted in the Constitution. It serves as a constant reminder that the people of the states collectively created the federal government and the Constitution is the charter by which it is supposed to operate,” Lee Wrights said.

“Nullification: The Rightful Remedy” is an award-winning film by the non-profit organization, The Foundation for a Free Society.

The film demonstrates how the 10th amendment allows for the states to nullify any federal law or action that is not granted in the Constitution.

We, the people, of each individual state came together to create the federal government and not the other way around.

The Foundation for a Free Society’s mission is to provide education and training to others so that they can more effectively communicate these ideas of sovereignty in their local communities through various forms of outreach and activism.
