  1. If there were truth in advertising, it would be more like “I believe that a strong economy and a vibrant workforce begins with one thing: throwing endless amounts of money at teachers’ unions.”

  2. This man is personally responsible for higher property taxes at D-155, and, while others share the blame, also must share some of the blame for the 67% state income tax increase that wasn’t enough to solve the state’s pension crisis, and that will result in higher local property taxes and higher state taxes.

Based on his personal record, why would you NOT want a teachers union official on a school board?

Surely you don’t see any conflict of interest in that.

  3. “It concerns me that Mr. Waltmire has not disclosed in any of his literature, surveys or interviews, that he is the Chair of the IEA Region 23 which represents the MCC Teachers and Adjunct Teachers Unions.

We (CAPA) asked Arne about this conflict and he says there isn’t one because he doesn’t deal with contract negotiations.

But the conflict goes deeper than that, to the day to day issues as well – hiring, promotions, raises, program changes, program expansion, etc.

This lack of transparency and conflict of interest is something the voters have a right to know.

  4. How can you trust someone who combs his hair like that and is

a member of the teacher’s union?
