  1. Can the taxpayers afford more tax increases, thanks to vicki smith ?

  2. Each MCC Trustee will vote tomorrow and their vote will be an exposure of their individual regard for the people they represent.

    This vote is wholly unnecessary.

More importantly, this vote will send a clear message to the student body what “true” democratic values are all about….

The out for them would be to table this vote until the next board is sworn in……

How can anyone say that the lame ducks have the best ability to represent into the future the will of the people who have presently decided they want to travel a different path?

  3. There is a difference sometines between what the law allows one to do and what ethics instruct one to do..

  4. The claim that action is “necessary” right now, or even by June 30, is flatly false.

Neither Kisser nor Miller can cite any clause in the contract that requires the board to act.

The new board should have the option to whether to extend the terms of the current contract, to keep Vicky but only if they are able to negotiate different terms, or to let Vicky go.

Their choices are broad, not narrow.

All the new trustees want the board to wait.

What the vote tomorrow will show is if the Liddell, Kisser and Miller have ANY respect for their new colleagues, or utter contempt.

  5. This lame duck session still has the opportunity to do the right thing and stop this mischief of pushing through something the new board members may not want to happen.

Let the new board members be involved in deciding the future of MCC’s leadership.

  6. No outgoing board should tie the hands of a new board

Signing contacts that would affect a new board is just plain wrong.
