Former Deputy Scott Milliman’s Case against McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren

Crystal Lake’s Scott Milliman wasn’t happy at all that McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren fired him for testifying under oath in former (new re-hired) Deputy Zane Seipler’s wrongful termination suit.

Milliman, contends in a May 29th filing:

  • Excessive force [is] used by McHenry County Deputy Sheriffs
  • Retaliation [has been] suffered by Milliman and other Deputy Sheriffs for reporting unlawful conduct of other Deputy Sheriffs
  • Allegations that Nygren was directly involve in ticket fixing in McHenry County
  • Nygren’s acceptance of bribes intended to influence his actions as Sheriff
  • Nygren’s involvement in a scheme to fraudulently procure SBA [Small Business Administration] loans for individuals and share in the proceeds of the loans knowing that the loans were going to default

Below is what his attorney, Thomas Crooks, filed in the following third amended brief.

He asks for an injunction putting Milliman back to work immediately.

Former Deputy Scott Milliman’s Case against McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren — 9 Comments

  1. THIRD amended complaint?!?

What, Crooks can’t get it right the FIRST time?

Are they making it up as they go along? What a load of ____p

  2. Whats the matter the “Walrus” and his comrades will have to come up for air?…..We all know about case fixing, and drug deliveries into the loading docks of some Mchenry County Businesses. Brian Good of Rita Corp you can run but you cant hide…I was made an offer to pay off a judge so this is not just speculation, it is based on first hand experience……Kickbacks and bribes are really taking place at the Mchenry County Court house. GG or Golly Gosh judge you know what I mean? We are sick and tired of the likes of Nygren and Zinke…………..The tax payers of this community should get on their hands and knees and thank Scott Milliman and Zane Seipler for doing the right thing and fighting this out in court…..Nygren was wrong when he fired both of these guys….I do believe Bill Prim is waiting in the wings to takeover your place Nygren…..

  3. Milliman’s and Seipler’s allegations against Nygren, Zinke and others are very troubling.

If the allegations are true, the idea of leaving these wolves in the hen-house for another 18 months is none too appealing for any of us.

And we can’t expect any help from a State’s Attorney who didn’t even have the balls to take action against Zinke when Zinke admitted tipping-off Brian Goode about the DEA’s Rita Corp investigation, and then received a $5,000 donation from Rita.

But Bill Prim will have to continue to wait in the wings indefinitely.

Prim’s out-of-county support, his use of out-of-county politicians to hoist his campaign, and his theory that he can find a political solution to the corruption in the Sheriff’s Office, is nothing more than trading one set of bought-and-paid-for politicians for another.

How about electing someone whose allegiance is to the people instead of a bunch of politicians. That’s right. J

    Jim Harrison.

No matter which one of these politicians wins the Republican primary in March, he’s gonna have to face Harrison in November.

    March is the easy one!

  4. Don’t judge the States Attorney too quickly.

That will all come to light in the next year…As for bringing in a new Elected Sherif and Under Sheriff, lets see if our tax payers are willing to take responsibility for productive change in our government…..They have the power to make change. They just don’t know it….Personally I like BIll Prim………

  5. D’A – Bringing Harrison in is just bringing in the same old club. He was the “in guy” for this crummy outfit for a long time.

Gary Pack’s pal. If Bianchi did not win against Gable, Harrison would still be getting the gravy.
