The campaign sent a number of photos, including ones of dune buggies. Look at a couple below:

It appears there were six dune buggies.

The float had people of various ages.

Nothing like having kids holding signs on floats.

Folks are probably impressed by a large entourage, but they really want to meet the candidate himself.

There was no report that Republican primary election opponent Andy Zinke was in Wonder Lake for the parade.

  1. Mr. Bachmann makes some good points but be aware the link he posted does have adult contact. So you may not want click it at work or in front of your kids.

I would be more comfortable supporting Commander Prim if he would make a statement reassuring us that he was not involved in and was not aware of any of the scandals at the Des Plaines Police Department.

  2. Great work by parade committee; they reflect the strength of their candidate – Professional, Prepared, Personable, and the list goes on.

We’ll follow you right to the polls and elect Bill Prim for Sheriff, March 2014!

  3. Just Joe – call Mr. Prim and he will talk to you. I have. 847-787-7566

He was a commander NOT chief of police.

    People confuse that.

    HE WAS NOT INVOLVED.

The chief went on a medical leave and appointed Mike Kovich to take his place.

    Mike Kovich was the problem.

The men hated him and he did a terrible job.

Opposition likes to paint Prim as the person pushed out because of the problems but it was Mike Kovich.

It was not Bill’s unit that had the problem.

It was also reported that Bill retired from the dept with 2days notice. NOT TRUE. The press just got the info 2 days earlier.

Bill is a fine man and extremely well qualified for the job.

    A PROFESSIONAL WITH ETHICS.

I have friends and family that live in DesPlaines and Mount Prospect and they hated loosing him because of the good work he did.

Drug task force, youth organizations and many other community efforts.

The new chief of police in DesPlaines invites Bill back to continue with these programs while in retirement.
Then he can pass the torch when he becomes our sheriff.

    Call him.

I have friends and family in that area and

  4. continued- they hated loosing him.

He was a good leader and his work will be missed.

Yes, the department had problems and he had no part in it.

  5. Joe – you want statement.

The only statements that the NWH prints are Zinke/Nygren.

They will not print Prim’s press releases or info.

    I think that speaks volumes.

The Illinois State Crime Commission named Bill Prim Representative for McHenry County.

They would only print that the commision met.

    That was March 18, 2013

  6. “The Illinois State Crime Commission”…Prim supporters keep touting that as if it is some Law Enforcement body that one needs to qualify for.

It is a private group that takes in charity money that mostly sponsors sports leagues.

It may be a great group, but let’s stop pretending it has some Law Enforcement status.

For a few hundred bucks I could start a cool sounding organization sponsor some softball teams and name anyone off the street our “county” representative.

Not saying it’s not a good charity but let’s not keep implying it is any official Law Enforcement agency.

  7. As for Primm’s ethics I do have concerns with all the corruption and continuing corruption investigations that surrounded him in his days as Des Plaines Police Commander.

I get he claims ignorance of what was happening in the Department, and that he says he did not retire on short notice to get away from the investigation but instead to retire to stay home and spend time with his kids.

I have some questions about this, but those aren’t the major ones.

I guess my major issue is to tactics around his supporters.

It is simply vile the way Prim supporters are going after Zinke’s family.

Additionally, it is of major concern that Prim’s supporters are calling a former Deputy twice found to have lied on tickets and in court as the shining example of what our finest should strive for.

  8. As in any election, you cannot control who supports you or how.

It is a very corrupt Sheriff’s Office and that fact is known all over the state and across some borders.

Bill Prim has an excellent record and is well respected.

are they and AZ report a lot of mis information about Seipler and it is obvious why.

The facts will come out in Federal Court since that is going to move forward.

Zane was not fired for valid reasons last time or this.

Many of the Zinke supporters could have been fired for VERY GOOD REASONS.

Remember the files on those still working and promoted in the SO – many of them should have been fired or never hired.

Nygren fired Seipler will have the same outcome as last time.

    Seipler will win.

He just wants to make sure it lasts til after the election and drag out the Fed court with his lawyer in hopes it will help cover up kid Zinke get elected.

    Try to dirty Prim supporters.

In the end – Nygen/Zinke’s dirt will come out.

  9. All of this balogna about Prim..

Very high level authorities have endorsed Bill Prim and would not without careful vetting.

AZ – very interested in your “buttercup” term, as well.

    Says something about you.

  10. Does anyone know what the judge said Seipler lied about to get him fired?

I know it is something to do with a blog and whether he knew about it or posted it but what was on the blog that caused Nygren and the others to lose their minds over it?

And why, with all the scrutiny that Seipler gets do I not know the answers to these questions.

The NWH, this blog and others obviously know what Seipler posted, why isn’t it ever talked about?

All I know is that something was posted that pissed off everybody and the judge ruled that Seipler lied about it.

Please someone tell me what it was.

  11. Believe me,

I out of anybody could “smell” corruption, and it definitely is not with Mr Prim.

  12. Bill Prim is our Greatest hope for change in Mchenry County Government..The regime of Nygren and Zinke has lost all credibility because of their actions and their refusal to accept responsibility for any wrong doing. The transactions concerning Rita Corporation were disgraceful…..The DEA TRACKED that shipment of drugs from Mexico to Crystal Lake for a reason….And, Zinke had no business telling Brian Goode there was an ongoing investigation.. If someone else had done that, they would be sitting in jail as an accessory to a crime, aiding and abetting in a crime and more…
