This type of behavior is why most of the good people in this nation have totally given up on their government.
Apathy abounds because we are back to a time in human history where every government official at every level is saying “let them eat cake”.
The lessons of history teach us ultimately The People have the power.
I’m entirely uncertain what will move The People from Apathy to Action but we haven’t seen this miracle yet.
Many await the moment when those who silently have been dealing with the idiocy of administration fools thinking they can make law(DEA, EPA, Justice Department, HHS, HUD, Czars, Sheriffs, Police… On and on…) will rise up and, as a citizen group, cry “NO MORE!” and end the reign of terror of professional politicians visited upon the citizenry in the United States.
There are many who work locally to pursue sensible governance but as long as we are a federalized system we are all slaves of Washington DC.
They know it and aren’t afraid in the least to exercise their power and the slave masters.
The People need to instill a healthy sense of fear in them again.
It would be nice to have a government who listened to her people again….
Huh. How much have you been paying for your(and your spouse’s) health care as a former state legislator?
I hear a pot and a kettle banging about…
My wife’s employer pays for her health insurance.
I think John Lovaas is talking about legislative health care plans.
But you deserve that Cal because you worked for the Government and got a deal that is completely constitutional and within the bounds of the law.
John, you should not attack Cal for his public service.
