Metra Board member Jack Schaffer is featured on the front page of the Chicago Tribune today.

The paper profiled the guy who said, “Hell no!” when asked to vote on what Shaffer later characterized as a “hush money” separation agreement with Metra Executive Director Alex Clifford.

  1. After the Pagano mess, Jack said “We were caught with our pants down”, Pagono his buddy, and Jack as the treasurer for Metra.

    Well Jack I guess you want to go out with your pants up.

  2. Glad to see Rep. Jack Franks made a difference in unearthing this scandal. Jack Schaffer is part of the patronage machine keeping Illinois’ over 7,000 units of government humming.
