Apparently to provide more parking for Crystal Lake South High School fans at the 1 PM Saturday football game, school buses were moved from the bus barn next to South owned jointly by Districts 47 and 155 to CLCHS.
Bus drivers, of course, were being paid to do so.
Some might remember that the City of Crystal Lake would have required more parking spaces because of the increase in the size of the bleachers, but District 155 skipped the zoning process.
Perhaps the need for additional parking was exaggerated by the school district.
See the home team crowd turnout here.
“ROE, ROE, ROE your boat gently down the stream”.
The plot thickens (and so do the extra costs).
Maybe there is a good reason to have a “2nd opinion” for our government’s decisions, in this case the city of Crystal Lake and D155 school board.
I hope the common core standards doesn’t use this as an example how to follow current processes, play well with others, and follow the law.
The district is still showing our kids the example of if you are bigger and can bully and get away with it then by all means do it.
Nice lesson to teach D155.
No big deal to them because it’s our money they spend recklessly as WE get beaten to death paying those real state taxes. And also, very well said jgkm6!
And what did that cost us?
Seems like I heard in an old movie once… “build it and they will come!)
