Under the South High School Bleachers

Don’t know why, but I keep thinking of the song “Under the Boardwalk” when I look at the photos below.

There was no making love, but there was lots of activity Saturday afternoon during the rain date for Friday night’s football game.

A kid was playing in one of the puddles.

Noting like a puddle to attract the attention of child.

There was a line to the porta-a-potties.

A sign can be seen in this photo of high schoolers lined up to use the port-a-potty.

.

Looks as if food was available under the grandstand next to the porta-a-potties

Concessions were apparently under the stands, too.

The height seems to have attracted this person looking at the homes on Amberwood.

And there was more action up top.

Perhaps some adult supervision may have been advisable for these kids.

Here’s a view of the bleachers from the front during Saturday’s game.

The new stadium seating at South High School seem to have been about half filled for the first game against Marian Central.

  1. Just a question????

The second picture there was a sign posted, to whom was that aimed at?

“Win Sky Box Seats, $20.00 per chance . . . Best Seats in the Swamp?

Come on food being served, porta potties and standing water!!

    Government Schools at their best.

  2. Why would anyone want to even touch that food next to the port o potty’s?

    Disgusting.

  3. Well, I guess they could wash their hands in the standing water.

  4. That standing water is probably “healthier” than what comes out of the tap in this city.

  5. And, this is what comes from elected officials that “We the people” put into office….

Bet, these homeowners never thought bleachers at the High School would change there lives forever.

No one wants to do anything until Government decisions touch their lives….

If we put Zinke into office, more to come at a Mchenry County Theatre new you.

There is no reason why this situation should not have been remedied months ago.

Every single politician should be jumping on the band wagon to have the bleachers removed from the back yards of our tax payers…

  6. Not many good excuses for the standing water puddles on that new concrete.

Maybe they should have had a city building inspector look at the proposed pitch of the new concrete before it was poured!
