She said she would let people know whether she was running for re-election by September 3rd, the first day for passing petitions.

When I called this morning, McHenry County Clerk Katherine Schultz told me,

“It’s been long enough.

“I’m 71 and I’ll be 73 when this term runs out.”

She said that if she had decided to run again, she would have committed to serving the full four years.

“Seventy-seven is way too old.”

Schultz started working in the Clerk’s Office under Vernon Kays on October 16, 1959, having graduated from Woodstock High School that year.

  1. The average employment tenure in the Private Sector is 4.2 years according to BLS stats.

Maybe Government can do a study, on how they have so many of these super human performers in their employ.

Forward the results to help the Private Sector become more efficient.

Cal starts my week off with a good laugh.

  2. Hi,

I am helping my daughter with some homework and one of her assignments was to find the number of registered voters in McHenry County using the internet.

When I go to the link on your page, it is a dead link.

Can you please tell me the number of registered voters in the county?

    Thanks!
