Althoff Announces Joint Town Halls with Franks and Wheeler — 6 Comments

  1. Everyone knows Jack Franks is a grandstanding liberal democrat. Everyone in the know is well aware that he is as phony as a 3-dollar bill.

So, why do the local Republicans bow down and pay him homage? Why do they suck up to him and legitimize his fraudulent claim to be “moderate” or a “conservative with a heart” ore “representing the district”? This is a joke.

Althoff and Wheeler appear as idiot court jesters when they play his game. They are political putty in Franks’ hand – and they apparently are so clueless that they aren’t even aware of his political manipulation.

Small wonder the Republican Party is in such poor shape in Illinois.

  2. Clearly Jack Franks is not a friend of any conservative values.

However, to say Pam, Barb and Jack doing a traveling road show in McHenry County is somehow an awful thing is political naivete.

Jack is one of McHenry County’s representatives in the state capitol.

Jack is part of the majority party who has destroyed this state.

It is politically intelligent to invite him to come and explain his complicity with this state’s destruction to his constituency.

How is asking Jack along to answer for his party’s votes complicity on the part of Republicans?

It is the conservative voter in the county who keep voting in droves for Jack to go back downstate which has actually filled Jack with so much confidence he has considered running for statewide positions several times.

He needs to travel with the other representatives of the county to share the reasons for his positions before the voters who vote for him.

Also this horrible attitude pervading our nation which says anyone who even speaks to the “other side”, whichever side this may be, is somehow complicit in helping that other side needs to be squashed.

Our nation was founded on compromise and conversation(after a great deal of bloodshed).

Our nation was held together by compromise and conversation(after a great deal of bloodshed).

I’m certain I am not alone in desiring further conversation and compromise rather than wishing for a great deal more bloodshed.

We need more Pam Althoffs and Barb Wheelers who can manage to stifle their political distaste for people like Jack Franks and open a dialogue.

I applaud their patience and hope The People of McHenry County will wake up and vote more representatives in like them and less like Jack in the future.

  3. I am not sure how much distaste there is for each other, between Althoff and Franks. If you look at how they vote, you will find that there are very few differences.

You may even find that her record is worse than his.

    I am not defending Franks.

I am saying that maybe it is time that Althoff has to answer for her record.

  4. “Priest”, you live in la-la land.

Politics is a “war of ideas”, but it is a war nonetheless.

“Political compromise” is always the left demanding the right compromise. It is never the reverse.

Wake up and open your eyes to the real world. Whew, I hope you aren’t a real Priest.

  5. I guess Pam’s mom never taught her: “You are judged by the company you keep.”
