Legal papers have been filed in McHenry County Circuit Court against attorney Curt Rehberg, the Home State Bank and Shannon Kottke by the beneficiaries the two estates.

Last week the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Board filed a complaint against Rehberg for using estate assets totaling $644,000 “without authority.”

Now, Martin Ochwat and David Hanson, represented by attorney Tom Zanck, are seeking information about what happened to the money they were supposed to inherit.

Rehberg sent Hanson and Ochwat emails on August 27th telling him to direct all future inquires to Chicago attorney Kenneth Cundiff, the filing says.

Information sought from the Home State Bank include copies of all bank statements and checks of the estates, plus Rehberg’s corporate and personal accounts.

The bank cannot release such information without a court order, according to the court document.
