In early September, I was told that a gas-fired peaker plant was being considered in Oakwood Hills. That’s when I filed my first Freedom of Information request with Oakwood Hills asking for “all documents concerning any peaker plant that is being considered for location in Oakwood Hills.”
You can see the reply, dated September 11th, below. It denies that any peaker plant is under consideration.
Considering the emails just received Enventure Partners, the peaker plant promoters, the first reply was accurate.
A peaker plant, unknown to most in the area, had been under consideration, but, by the time of my first Freedom of Information request, it no longer was.
The email below dated July 8th says, “that the above generation interconnection request you submitted has been withdrawn from the PJM queue effective at your request.”
So far, I have not seen the request indicated in this email.

Subject: FW: X2-019 (Silver Lake 345kV) Project Withdrawal
Melanie and Melissa:
The email below from Marcia Gritmon of PJM was PilVl’s “short and sweet” notification that the peaking project Enventure was considering at our site in Oakwood (referred to by PJM as project “X2-019 (Silver Lake 345 kV”) was withdrawn. The “Silver take 345 kV” designation comes from the name of the substation adjacent to our site (the “Silver Lake Substation”) and the voltage (345 kV) at which we were going to interconnect the project to the substation.
ihope this heips to confirm that Enventure Partners has terminated ali development activities associated with the peaking piant that was under consideration in Oakwood Hills.
Regards,
Conrad
