Snow on Veterans Day

When I came in from raking leaves it was just raining a bit.  Enough to make me go inside, but not badly.

Then I looked at the weather map from WIRL in Rockford.  (It’s the best I’ve found since WGN changed its format.)

So, it was supposed to be snowing.

Look closely in the upper right hand side of the picture of my not completely raked yard and you'll see snow coming down.

And, it was.

Guess it’s time to change the sign next to our front door.

And, less than a half an hour later, it’s really coming down.

Just before 1, the snow was not yet sticking, but it is clear that raking the maple leaves will be a challenge.

Five o’clock. Time for the going home commute. Snow is on the grass but didn’t stick to the driveway.
