Zane Seipler’s blog about the McHenry County Sheriff’s race is a place I keep checking, even though he does not update it daily.
The latest article, entitled “Discrepancies,” is ostensibly about the incompleteness of the replies of Freedom of Information requests.
But the evidence of an incomplete reply is about a 1994 sergeant’s exam that Andy Zinke, now-Undersheriff and Sheriff Keith Nygren’s choice to succeed him.
Two letters that the Sheriff’s Department couldn’t find are reproduced on Seipler’s blog.
One is a request from Zinke for his sergeant’s exam to be regraded.
It seems he failed the test.
The other is the reply to that letter from the Sheriff’s Merit Commission.
V.W. Townsend, the Commission’s Secretary, writes that regrading it wouldn’t result in Zinke’s passing because he scored so low on
- Patrol
- Investigation
- Supervision
There are other stories about the Sheriff’s Office that those interested in the contest between former Des Plaines Police Commander Bill Prim and Zinke might find intriguing.
It is important that everyone understands that Zane Seipler a very bitter individual that ran unsuccessfully against Sheriff Nygren in the 2010 Republican primary election and suffered a humiliating defeat.
Zane Seipler was fired for violating the department’s general orders when he lied under oath in his civil lawsuit against the Sheriff’s Department.
U.S. District Judge Kapala called his testimony a “fabricated narrative that conveniently explained what had transpired.”
Zane Seipler is now dancing with Mr. Corruption and Bill Who in hope to get his job back. He is an unpaid mule to spread their immoral tactics to discredit Undersheriff Andrew Zinke.
His credibility has been clearly obliterated as he is known to be a liar, so don’t be fooled people by his lying chicken scratch in his blog.

Even if Zane’s postings are legitimate…so what? A young, newer Deputy Zinke failed a Sgts exam. Is this test, from 1994, really relevant? It’s almost 20 years ago? So he failed and made an inquiry–I fail to see the big whoop. Embarrassing? Maybe–but everyone has struggles and failures along the way. I don’t see the true relevance here…Really.

If I had to guess, Nygren set Zinke up, so Nygren will will look like the best Sheriff in McHenry County, they have ever had.

Working side by side with this PYle and not seeing his issues when people like Zane knew there was something wrong and strange about Pyle. Zane was ignored and blasted for saying anything about Pyle from non other than Zinke. Looks like that was training that Zinke failed as well.

Yes, I do admit that corruption does exists in McHenry County Duncan Mchenry = Zane Seipler.
Corruption in McHenry County is led by the ringleader, Mr. Corruption himself, Louis Bianchi.
Mr. Corruption made a deal with Jack Pickup recently by reducing a Class 4 felony to misdemeanor harassment for sexual exploitation to a minor. This PIG, a Des Plaines former teacher is sexting messages to an eighth grade girl and Mr. Corruption lets him, like SO many others in this county walk free with a slap on the wrist.
The fruits of corruption don’t fall far from the corrupted tree. Mr. Corruption supports Bill Who, former police commander of the Des Plaines Police Department. Jack Pickup, a Des Plaines teacher that also worked for Senator Dan Duffy’s election campaign, which publicly endorses Bill Who for McHenry County Sheriff. It’s not hard to follow the trail of the Taylor Street Boys.
Also don’t forget that Mr. Corruption embezzled $2,907.94 from the Citizens to Elect Lou Bianchi to purchase food for Bill Who’s last failed fundraiser.

Look at the chairman in 1994 and fast forward.
When Nygren got in ad sheriff he stacked the deck with his select Merit Commission members.
Zinke has his campaign office at RITA owned by Brian Goode.

Who did Zinke protect from the DEA investigation?

-Who is responsible for maintaining records for the Sheriff’s Commission?
Is it the Sheriff or the Commission?
-What’s the legal requirement for the duration of maintaining such correspondence?
-How did Zane come to get purported ‘copies’ of these exchanges?

I think my questions are valid and logical. Who owns the records Zane was FOIA-ing? Are they maintained by the Sheriff or the Commission? How long are these records to be maintained? Where and how did Zane come across these records?
I affirm my position here. As everything sits right now, this is nothing more than a 20 year old ghost. So what if Zinke failed the 1994 Sgts exam? So what that he asked for clarification?
If the insinuation is that he buried this correspondence in order to avoid embarrassment–then I’d like to see my questions answered. Maybe these files are to be retained by the Commission, maybe there’s a seven year shelf life, maybe (since Zane’s credibility is in question-a Federal Judges’s opinion, not mine)-the origin and source of these documents needs independent verification and these questions answered.
Take note of my words and my language. I’ve taken no side, just made some (of what I consider) common sense, critical thought questions on the situation. It’s a matter of perspective and, barring some real direction on the particulars, calling me out as not being objective is no answer-just deflection. Really…
