This is the petition passing and fund raising part of successful campaigns.

All candidates have to gather petition signatures, but successful ones also raise money so that they can concentrate on campaigning in the couple of months right before the March 18th primary election.

McHenry County Board member Nick Provenzano is doing both.

On the money end, he started October with $5,448.83 in the bank.

Since then he has reported raising the following in amounts over of $1,000 or more:

  • $5,000 – Vincent Foglia, Barrington, Retired [from Sage Products]
  • $3,500 – Jeannine Roeser, Barrington
  • $3,500 – John [Jack] Roeser, Barrington, Otto Engineering

Provenzano also wrote a personal check to his campaign for $10,000.

All countywide candidates need 517 signatures on their petitions.

Provenzano is running against his District 3 colleague on the County Board, Mary McClellan.

She reported having $1.13 in her campaign fund at the end of September.

  1. Why would you ever want to support a career politician like Provenzano?

How many pensions will he have?

How many healthcare plans will he have?

How many taxpayer jobs will he have? How long will we have to support his multi pension, healthcare, gas reimbursement, perky lifestyle?!

  2. Y’all know hes got no job experience? No long term employment… Why?

Provenzano in the clerks office is nothin but bad for the county.

Why do people keep givin this guy money

  3. I met Nick Provenzano at the Two Tails Market Meet and Greet for Undersheriff Andrew Zinke last summer.

I don’t know much about him at this time, but at least he is on the right track in showing his support for our new next elected Sheriff, Undersheriff Andrew Zinke.
