The Newcomers to McHenry County Republican Party Politics

Yesterday, McHenry County Blog took a look at the current Republican Precinct Committeemen who have decided not to run for re-election.

Today, we’ll look at those who are stepping up to the plate who are not on the Central Committee now. (I’ve attempted to exclude those who serve in an appointed role and who are seeking election this time.)

Challengers to elected incumbents are shown in boldface type.

The Newcomers to McHenry County Republican Party Politics — 13 Comments

  1. There are two Henry Goetz’s on the list. Is it coincidence or typo?

  2. Time to start working on a slate of new candidates for the management of the McHenry County GOP.

  3. Is James Carlin the same one that lived in Sun City in 2007 and won a position on the School District 158 board?

  4. McHenry County GOP-Under New Management.

Zinke, Jung, Gummerson, Denker, and others- you may as well all withdraw because it ain’t gonna matter.

    Buh-bye!

  5. @RegimeOver I saw your roll call, and noticed Denker was a part of it.

Do you mean Melissa Denker of Dunham Township, who is being challenged by this William Parker fellow?

Say what you will about the others, but Denker seems to be new blood that is vitally needed in McHenry County Republican party.

She appears to be cut from the same cloth as true champions like Allen Skillicorn, and I attended one of her voter education workshops last year in Woodstock.

She seems like someone the party would want to keep.

It’s up to Dunham Township Republican primary voters to determine if she stays or if they want to go in a different direction with Mr. Parker, but from what I know, she shouldn’t be included with the likes of Zinke.

    What did I miss here?

  6. Look who finally crawled out from under his political rock … little Ronnie Salgado.

Interesting how many of these “newcomers” are connected to Salgado and the Bianchi faction.

Is this another Salgado/Bianchi attempt at a Republican Party takeover {as the old guard retreats and slithers away}, or is the real joke on these “newcomers” who get stuck with a fractured, impotent, and dysfunctional GOP?

It’s sort of like when the winner gets to kiss a pig.

By the way, “GOP” around here means “Government Over People”.

And what about GOP party Chairman Mike Tryon; is he asleep at the wheel or is he complicit in this power shift?

More is going on here than meets the eye.

Seems as though Salgado, Bianchi, and their political cronies at hard at work moving the pieces and players around, in the never-ending quest to gain more and more power; because in the end, the one with the most power wins, right?

After all, isn’t that what life is all about, the relentless quest for power?

If they devoted half as much time to helping their communities, as they do seeking retribution and advancing their own personal political ambitions, McHenry County would be a much better place.

  7. Storm, I believe Denker is dating the son of Tina Hill, who is in Andy’s pocket.

Don’t know if I want more of that.

  8. D’art Douchebag, do you mean like the old guard did lining their pockets with tax payer money.

    Deals for their cronies.

That really helped the community with millions spent on court cases because of their big egos.

Those are the kind of people I want to keep running the county.

It’s time for a house cleaning, and it’s comimg.

  9. @RegimeOver Your reasoning makes little sense in the case of Melissa Denker and inferred indirect support of Zinke through your statement of “I believe Denker is dating the son of Tina Hill, who is in Andy’s pocket.”

I seriously doubt Denker’s opponent is going to use your observation with voters in Dunham Township as a reason to replace Denker as their precinct committeeman.

If Denker openly endorses Zinke in the sheriff’s primary, no matter how she made her decision, is fair game in her primary election with Mr. Parker.

The same would hold true if she happens to be openly supporting Bill Prim. I

t’ll be an interesting committeeman election, but right now, if I’m a Dunham Township Republican primary voter, I do not see any reason to replace Ms. Denker.

  10. I find this absolutely adorable that someone is assuming my opinion and belief system is automatically swayed because of who I am dating or associating with.

Enough that someone would put up an opponent against the youngest Republican committeeman in the county.

What I have openly said and strongly believe is I’m not endorsing nor supporting any Sheriff Candidate, county Clerk Candidate, or any candidate that has a primary.

I’ve said that at least a dozen times to everyone and people still can’t get that in their heads.

I guess Regime over has never actually met me in person to discuss my political beliefs and get to know me. Thank you for your support Oncoming storm! 🙂

I would like to say that my opponent really isn’t that interested in his position as Precinct Committeeman.

The man has a family member collect the signatures for him, instead of getting to know his precinct.

Honestly, I just think he’s being placed there for the voting power of 4th largest voting precinct in the county.

    My opponent doesn’t know me.

If he did he’d realize even with his name recognition, he would still lose.

Nothing can match the passion and drive I have for Liberty and helping people make educated votes.

Many people might run for Precinct Committeeman just for the title and to be a part of the so called “game” and name calling.

I run for Precinct Committeeman because I know I’m making a direct connection with my neighbors and spreading my message every door I knock on.

While people are judging away, The younger generation in this county is building the true future of the GOP.

  11. Mike Tryon will step down as chairman, guess what Salgado/ Bianchi goon will step up?

    Little stinker Mark Daniels.

    Daniels suports Prim.
