“Good afternoon.

“This is Dr. Bregy, Superintendent of School District 300, calling with an important message.

“In keeping with our commitment to student and staff safety, District 300 schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2014.

“We are letting you know this afternoon so that you are better able to plan your day tomorrow.

“The school district acknowledges the inconvenience this decision may cause and we appreciate your understanding of our need to protect our children from forecasted dangerously extreme cold temperatures.

“All after-school practices, performances, and competitions are cancelled as well.

“Thank you.”
