Crystal Lake Has Done No Planning re Sale of Medical Marijuana

Seeing that some Illinois municipalities are making plans for the sale of medical marijuana–including allowing drive-thru operations in Naperville–I asked the City of Crystal Lake for documents relating to the selling or raising of marijuana.

Here’s the answer I received:

The City has searched its records and is unable to locate any documents that fit the criteria of your request at this time.

Stores will be allowed to open in industrial areas without a hearing in Naperville, a Chicago Tribune story says.

The law took affect January 1st.

  1. This is amazing considering Chief Linder gave a personal presentation to the Mayor and City Council himself to address this issue.

This reveals how little effort the CL city officials put into their jobs.

They’re more interested in their political careers and their future bloated pensions.

“Raise taxes and blame the citizenry” should be CL’s motto.

  2. Municipalities may not prevent the sale of medical marijuana, as I understand the law.
