League of Women Voters Schedules Sheriff’s Debate and More

Well, they’re not calling them debates.

The McHenry County League of Women Voters calls them “forums.”

The one for McHenry County Sheriff’s candidates Bill Prim and Andy Zinke is 7 PM Tuesday at McHenry County College.  It is being co-sponsored by the Northwest Herald.

There will be one for McHenry County Clerk candidates Mary McClellan and Nick Provenzano, plus McHenry County Treasurer candidates Glenda Miller and Jeff Thorsen on March 3rd at 7 PM at the same location.

All the County Board candidates will get to make their pitches at 6:30 in room A240 at MCC.  There is no indication whether any questions will be allowed.

Finally, did you know there is a Democratic Primary Election for Congress in Randy Hultgren’s district?

Neither did I.

The League has reserved the huge Conference Center on Monday, February 24th, for the event.

The candidates are Dennis Anderson of Gurnee and John Hosta of Spring Grove.  (There is no primary contest in Peter Roskam’s 6th District.  Michael Mason of Naperville is the Democrats’ candiadte.)

The following information about political debates was found on the McHenry County League of Women Voters website:
