What uses to be called a coffee was held by Republican Precinct Committeemen and candidates for the office in Richmond Wednesday night.
Three countywide candidates spoke:
- Bill Prim running for Sheriff
- Nick Provenzano running for Clerk
- Jeff Thorsen running for Treasurer
In addition, Steve Reick, the Republican taking on State Rep. Jack Franks (D-Marengo) addressed the group.
The person who sent the photos said,
“They had goose bumps listening to the candidates. You can feel the positive change in motion, it’s exciting to see what’s happening!”
I heard that the majority of the people went there to see Bill Prim’s cowboy boots. 🙂

Duncan McHenry is just mean spirited and adds nothing to meaningful dialog.
Notawannabee, we all have to excuse Duncan as he is upset, not because his choices of candidates are going to lose being elected, because Duncan is powerless and cannot vote as Duncan is not a resident of McHenry County
Duncan stated on 01/27/2014 at 2:10 pm under the topic (Andy Zinke’s Salary Progression) that he does NOT live in the State of Illinois.

I happened to be at the ‘coffee’ or ‘meet and greet’ and it was a pleasant experience, no obscenities were shouted or middle fingers were given to anyone attending.

I just hope that if Prim were to win (shudder) he casts these cockroaches back to the darkest dank recesses of small closets not to be seen again in the light of day.
Cockroaches are often associated with plagues.
One thing is for sure, they are a plague on the Sheriff’s Office.
