Anne L. Majewski M.D., the McHenry County Coroner, announced this morning that her office is investigating the death of a female subject whose body was found in a home on the 500 block of East Kimball Street in Woodstock IL.

Woodstock Fire and Rescue was called to the home in the early evening hours on March 6, 2014 for a fire within the residence and discovered the body inside the residence.

Autopsy and other forensic testing will be conducted today. Further information on the victim will not be released until certain identification is made. The office will provide additional information as results become available.

Woodstock Police and the State Fire Marshall are also investigating.
