Andrew Gasser Makes Mailings for Contested Precinct Committeeman — 15 Comments

  1. Andrew Gasser, wishing you ALL the best and a big Win in this election.

    We need you Andrew.

  2. Thank you for your support, Andrew. Yes, this is a very important election.

I repeat, because I endorse certain candidates over their opponents does not mean I am condemning his/her opponent – it is just time to change the “corporate culture” of our McHenry County Government for the benefit of all residents.

I know all of those elected in the Primary tomorrow will be able to work together to achieve common goals.

  3. “I repeat, because I endorse certain candidates over their opponents does not mean I am condemning his/her opponent – it is just time to change the “corporate culture” of our McHenry County Government for the benefit of all residents.”

Jon, it’s refreshing to see someone so naive.

This is McHenry County, the place where people file defamation lawsuits over anonymous internet commentators, manufacture lawsuits by sending strange women to people’s doorsteps after dark to see if they’re dumb enough to run the plates, and where have special prosecutors appointed because they didn’t like the results of the election.

Our political class is petty and does not forgive slights, no matter how minor.

Don’t think for a second that you didn’t make enemies for life by endorsing one candidate over another.

  4. markmcquire – that’s their burden to carry, not mine.

One of my favorite quotes –

“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” Winston Churchill

  5. Please tell me it didn’t really say Bill Prim for County Board….

  6. I’ll be voting for Bill Prim for County Sheriff.

Although, Bill Peim would be an excellent County Board member as well.

  7. Double Dippin Bill Prim Double Dippin Bill Prim Double Dippin Bill Prim

  8. ‘Teacher 155″ You are clearly disturbed….

Your words are nothing but an act of desperation on behalf of the Nygren and Zinke Circus.

Let the Board of Education take your license and send you to the Cuckoos nest…

  9. No, Duncan McHenry.

You are clearly disturbed…..your criticism of me for pointing out the truth about Double Dippin Tex Prim is nothing but an act of desperation on behalf of the Prim Circus.

No more buttered popcorn for you.

Come on down, Duncan Mchenry, you will not be the next contestant on the “Price is Right”.

  10. Teacher is obviously an extremist.

They clearly lie and believes his and her lies.

Then keep repeating the lie, just like Obama. Who is the real double dipper?

    It’s Nygren.

    He has Zinke in training.

Teaching how the double dipping works.

I have a question for all the lying Zinke supporters on this blog, what were you promised for this vote?

  11. Miss Downer. I have not defended anyone’s Double Dipping. Illinois is bankrupt. Double Dipping must end. We must have real Pension Reform. Not more political shell games with pensions and salaries.

Andrew Zinke draws a single salary. Andrew Zinke does not draw a pension. At this time, Andrew Zinke is only contributing into a single pension fund. So, Andrew Zinke is not, nor will be a Double Dipper.

And, I do agree with you Miss Downer that Andrew Zinke could become a Double Dipper in the future by retiring from the Sheriff’s Department when eligible and seeking employment as a municipal police chief. Illinois MUST end Double Dipping. It may be legal, but we are getting ripped off.

We need to stop electing Double Dippers starting with Double Dippin Prim.

  12. A “teacher” talking about the troubles in IL!

    That’s rich.

We all know the problem lies mostly with the teachers pension system.

  13. As has been repeatedly pointed out, Prim will cost McHenry County taxpayers less than Zinke, because Prim has pledge to opt out of the McHenry County Sheriff (IMRF) pension fund.

Zinke has no plans to opt out of the McHenry County Sheriff (IMRF) pension fund.

Therefore there will be no employer pension contribution with Prim.

There will be an employer pension contribution with Zinke.

This is the first instance I’ve ever seen of a teacher recommending that double dipping ends.

Good luck convincing the IEA teacher union to add that reform to their Legislative Platform which they use as a guideline to lobby politicians.

There are more double dipping teachers and administrators than any other public sector group.

Mainly because the TRS pension fund contains the greatest percentage of retired public sector workers.

TRS does have some limits on double dipping though.

For instance the TRS fund limits the number of hours per year retired pension recipients are allowed to work in their profession in Illinois.

Prim will cost McHenry County taxpayers less than Zinke.
