Jack Franks Attends Zinke’s Election Night Party

Jack Franks

Jack Franks

I’ve written about the McHenry County Combine before.

You know, about how local Republicans are fine with having Democrat Jack Franks represent what should be one of the most Republican legislative districts in Illinois.

It’s so much easier to pass bills with a Franks being a co-sponsor.

When I and others point out that the first vote he casts after every election is for House Speaker Mike Madigan, Franks’ Republican supporters make apologies for him in the comment section.

But Mike Madigan is the main problem in Illinois.

I’ll bet no one can find one pension hiking bill since he first took office in 1971 that Madigan didn’t vote for.

And, remember, he served as a Delegate to the 1970 Illinois Constitutional Convention, so he voted for the clause that prevents the lowering of pension benefits.  (Or, at least that what the unions are arguing.)

So where was McHenry County’s top Democrat on election night?

Multiple sources spotted him at the Rib House on Route 176 in Crystal Lake at McHenry County Sheriff hopeful Andy Zinke’s party.

Zinke, you will remember, joined Franks’ Host Committee, where his boss Sheriff Keith Nygren has served for years.

The only other report that seems worth passing on was the Zinke’s wife Kim was quite unhappy at the election results.  Ask one of Zinke’s supporters for details.

= = = = =
This year Franks has a Republican opponent, Steve Reick. Assuming the reformers elect their candidates to GOP Central Committee posts, Franks’ opponent will have active supporters that most assuredly will not be there if the Establishment candidates continue their control.

Jack Franks Attends Zinke’s Election Night Party — 41 Comments

  1. He was walking around the McHenry Expo on Saturday with Zinke.

Why don’t these people just be Democrats?

That would include Althoff, McConnaughay, Tryon, Wheeler.

We need to run some real Republicans who follow the Republican Platform.

  2. We have a real Republican in Bill Prim.

I’m sorry that Zinke’s wife Kim was unhappy with the results but at least her husband can keep his job as a Lieutenant in the Sheriff’s department after this is all over in November.

Zinke is probably trying to get his supporters over to the Harrison side with the promise that if Harrison would win he can keep his Under Sheriff job. l.o.l.

Maybe his supporters will go over to Prim’s side.

Time will tell and things go from there.

I can just see Zinke crying on his wife’s shoulder.

Zinke’s not conceding also shows Zinke’s immaturity.

How sad and pitiful a man he is.

  3. At least the Prim side is showing how to win with dignity…LOL…

Win or lose the Zinke’s planned on spending a couple days away.

We are over half a year away from the general election, any potential primary recount has plenty of time.

The nearly half of the Republican primary voters who are now being openly ridiculed and told they aren’t wanted on team Prim will have some tough choices to make in the coming months.

  4. I mean even in victory team Prim is taking shots at the other candidates wife?

I suppose we will see how keeping on the attack against the other side even after the primary works out in the general election.

    Usually that doesn’t go well.

  5. Arethey, I don’t see anyone bashing the wife, other than stating she was unhappy.

There is a lot more we could be saying, but we have not.

Zinke does need to be a man and concede the election.

The pre-election bashing went both ways.

It’s over now, let’s move on to bashing Harrison.

But be careful, he might sue you.

  6. Andy, why don’t you stop crying and admit that you lost. Its over.

Just like when you failed the Sgt. test.

Even though you were told you had failed the testing process, you still cried and kicked stones and wanted daddy Keith to help out.

The people of McHenry County spoke, and voted you and Keith out..

The cancerous that was affecting the lives of many dedicated hard working men and women of McHenry County Sheriffs Office is finally going to be removed, and Mr. Prim will run the Sheriffs Office like it should be run.

  7. But I guess why even call out the candidates wife by name as part of the gloating…it is classless…and then to say he it was only a little shot we could be taking worse…again classless.

No different that the liberal thugs that went after Palin’s family, there just isn’t a need for it.

I guess just keep up the sore winner act and see how that works towards the General election.

As for the recount, that can’t even be decided yet.

No one can legally even ask for one until after the vote is canvassed.

That by law could be as late as April 8th.

So don’t get the undies in a bunch there is a process the law follows in the extreme case of a vote count this close.

I am sure Zinke knows the law on the issue even if Prim supporters don’t so there simply isn’t anything for anyone to decide yet about a potential recount for most likely a couple weeks.

  8. Arethey, as I said before I don’t see any bashing. As I’m sure you are aware since you work for him, there are some issues we could bring up. So I really don’t understand your point. Cal heard KZ was unhappy, so what. I heard it was a little worse than that. If you and AZ want a recount, go for it. Be careful what you wish for. Tell AZ to man up and concede the election. The clerk even said there was no way he could win even if all the outstanding ballots went his way.

  9. Cute line about Harrison with the “but be careful he might sue you” in the above comments…he could sue you, but he has much catching up to do with how quickly Prim supporters have been suing people… 😉

As far as joining forces to go after Harrison, I’m not sure that is how this one is going to play out.

Many are tired of the rift and I am not sure the Bianchi support vote lift for Prim goes much deeper than the primary votes he got.

Here is a bit of reality…

There were nearly 90,000 votes cast in the last general election when Nygren beat the Democrat that Prim backed in the last election.

If Zinke goes a similar path he is more likely to back an Independent rather than follow the road Prim took in backing a Democrat.

In the general election Prim will need to find another 35K to 40K more supporters…he isn’t likely to get any of the 30k to 35k Democrats from the last general election without doing some things that disheartens his current base.

Most Independents are sick of the two warring old guard Republican camps in the county (of which Prim represents regardless of the spin) so he isn’t likely to get many of them.

That will leave him needing at least about 46K of 55K likely Republican votes.

So keep blasting away at 49.8% of those Republican primary voters to your hearts content and see how well that works for you in the general election, is all many of us are saying.

At this it doesn’t hurt Zinke one bit to just stay quiet and not to engage for a couple of weeks, in the meantime team Prim can cause a lot of self inflicted wounds in the same window.

  10. We have been reading what the commenters had to say lately at the office, and we came to the conclusion that Zinke or Prim will not win the general election based on how close the voting numbers were between them.

The wounds are too deep, and whoever would have won, the losing side would vote for Harrison.

We voted for Zinke because we did not like the way Prim conducted himself in this election, we feel it was dirty and deceiving.

We disapprove of Prim’s conduct and we cannot in good conscience vote for him in the general election.

Therefore, the bottom line is this, if all the Zinke votes go to Harrison, all he would need is a 100 voters to vote for him and he will win, which he will most likely will win.

  11. How do you know the DEMS won’t run a candidate ?

And how many independents are there ?

Your Harrison has a lot of baggage from the Pack days.

What was Jimbo’s ex-campaign manager doing at the Prim party ?

  12. Doreen, Prim’s conduct?

Look closely at the picture with the middle finger in the parade.

Looks like your boy Stinke to me.

I don’t think all the Zinke republicans will vote for an independent.

  13. Doreen, instead of yaking on the blog, you could better spend your time passing petitions for Mr. Harrison . . . he will need all the help he can get.

Make sure you know the rules for doing this . . . it will be interesting, if he even files the petitions.

  14. Doreen you have your opinion and that is fine and you can vote for whoever you wish.

Aretheyserious: This is why you have comebacks from the Prim supporters as you twist the truth of what someone says.

    I never bashed Zinke’s wife.

I said that I was sorry that she was unhappy with the results.

You also are spreading lies about the Prim supporters suing people.

    That is not true.

Also Doreen Zinke will not be in the general election. He lost the primary.

So the Prim supporters go by facts and you are already starting to spread the lies.

  15. Does sheriff Bill Prim’s opponent know the election is over?

He can take down all of his signs.

They are not blocking sheriff Bill Prim’s signs like before the election.

Good showing Bill, you will make a fine sheriff.

One thing , when you are in a parade and waving to the people use your whole hand, thumb and 4 fingers.

  16. Bianchi is, and has been, a very vocal Prim supporter.

Bianchi has used his position, wealth and friendships to pursue detractors of both Prim and himself.

Bianchi suing opponents would equate to Prim supporters using very low legal tactics to silence and intimidate detractors.

To attack Doreen screams the intolerance of Prim supporters rather than the big tent inclusiveness he will require in the general election to appease those who are worried about further revenge attacks.

It is also not the visionary message necessary to lead the MCSO out of the past and into the future.

    Once again Prim supporters…

Quit “helping” him. Your vulgarity is still embarrassing.

He deserves better than what you offer.

  17. Now who is attacking Doreen ?

It was said that she has her opinion and she can vote for however she wanted to.

How can you turn that into an attack?

  18. Doreen.. The way Zinke conducted himself was dirty and deceiving….

    That is the truth..

Remember, that famous Zinke finger act at the public parade?

And, Zinke shut down Cal’s blog.

Zinke performed in one circus side show attraction after another for the infamous Nygren and Zinke Circus.

Or, has you political affiliations with Zinke and Harrision clouded your ability to make an objective statement?

    Yes it has!

Harrison is old baggage from the Gary Pack and Keith Nygren days…..

Harrison brings no value to the restructuring of McHenry County Government.

Personally, I would like a full disclosure of the land that was purchased by Harrision next to the court house. Let’s see the numbers and the amount of land that was sold…

    How much profit was made?

Come on Jim here is your chance for transparency..

  19. Priest, it was Nygren, Zinke’s mentor, that used his position for revenge on people who spoke out.

He used certain supervisors to carry out his revenge.

If those supervisors get a taste of their own medicine too bad. Karma’s a bitch.

  20. Sooooo… The justification for the misuse of position, wealth and power for personal gain by your guy is the guy you hate and demonize did the same things.

Nygren just had his desired candidate suffer defeat for his behavior.

It would be hypocrisy for Prim supporters to believe Bianchi’s behavior wouldn’t affect Prim’s candidacy.

It’s also the very height of arrogance to believe the vulgarity of Prim supporters won’t affect Prim the very same way the vulgarity of Zinke’s supporters affected him.

Take this post primary time to reflect and regroup for the general.

Given the continued behavior of Prim supporters the coming election won’t be the walk in the park they think it will be.

Mr. Prim… Please become a leader quickly or find yourself defined by the horrible actions of a hypocritical Bianchi and small group of zealots to the detriment of your campaign.

  21. My point exactly.

The acts committed are well documented, particularly in this blog.

The demonizing of one side while hero worshipping the very same behavior on the other side may actually come from a willful blindness due to good people missing what’s right in front of them.

I urge Prim to distance himself from Bianchi and become his own man.

This blindness may be catching and fatal to a successful future campaign.

    Bianchi’s time is coming.

    His sins will be exposed.

He has begged for forgiveness and then arrogantly committed the self same actions he swore he would never again commit.

He deserves what’s coming but today just worry about Prim.

It’s his time to shine or lose this opportunity.

I want to see him lead his campaign with intelligence and vision.

Not the gutter tactics his supposed supporters offer.

  22. I am not getting into theology but by your remarks I believe you are not a Priest.

Bianchi and Prim will work great together.

  23. Priest, no examples of his bad behavior ?

“his sins will be exposed” please explain, I can hardly wait.

    “begged forgiveness” from who?

“deserves what’s coming” go on, I’m at the edge of my seat.

Forgive me, but I think you are full of shit.

    Amen.

  24. The fact you can neither read nor write, regime, is not anyone’s fault but your own.

You do, however, continue to scream to all who listen just how foul some zealots are who speak for Bianchi and Prim.

I feel sorry for you, just as I have for other foul morons on this blog.

If Prim wants your sort of idiocy to represent him then he will reap what you sow.

I continue to hope he will find his voice and lead better than you follow or he will continue to alienate good people.

Then again, many have told me this may be your ilk’s purpose.

  25. I think we as Prim supporters should not fall for this diversion by the Priests comments.

Lets all refrain from commenting on Christianity as he wants us to do. I am sure we all have our own Christian beliefs.

Lets get back to the facts of the campaign. We will all have comments to make as the election moves forward. Our comments will be the truth.

I also am confident, as you all are, that Bill Prim will become the next McHenry County Sheriff.

  26. What???

Priest, WTF are you talking about.

Give me and the rest of us foul morons some of those secret facts you have about Bianchi.

I don’t represent Prim, he can handle that himself.

If my comments alienate idiots like you, I’m ok with that. Are you related to FukCuckoo?

  27. Priest sure sounds just like zinke ,especially when somebody takes his rattle away, or
tells him ” No Andy, I’m sorry you didn’t pass the Sgt’s exam testing..

And now, NO ANDY, YOU DIDN’T WIN YOUR WET DREAM OF BECOMING SHERIFF,

  28. I am sorry that our opinion made so many to become upset, but that is the way we see it and believe will be the final result.

This is not only how my office feels, when I was getting my mail, I saw my neighbor Helen, a Zinke supporter, and she told me that she will not vote for Prim.

I received the same feedback from Doctor Steve when I saw him at my Doctor’s appointment.

Like I said earlier, the wounds are too deep and we believe that the Zinke voters will not vote for Prim in the general election.

This is not a fact, this is an observation based on feedback and how we feel.

  29. Doreen, I do not think people were upset about your opinion, many people have opinions and they do much talking . . .

I still suggest that you and your friends get together with Harrison and start working on petitions, like I said know the rules.

I am seeing within the comments that most posters are trying to educate, they are not trying to promote Zinke’s feelings.

Good Luck to you . . . Zinke’s feeling will send you to the pity pot.

He must learn from right and wrong and legal and illegal.

It is his problem not yours.

  30. Doreen: Your posts are exactly how comments should be.

Everyone has a different view and has the right to express those views.

We as Prim supporters only reacted to lies posted by some Zinke supporters.

  31. Doreen,

I think everyone is glad you post here. Many people that do post in this blog have “connections” to the Sheriff’s Dept and/or the government center.

Because of that, their views are definitely coming through those eyes.

Unfortunately, the county government is like all other government, they know how to do a few things –

Spend your taxpayer money with reckless abandon and no regard to fiscal responsibility.

Hide as much as possible of all their questionable actions from the public.

Surround themselves with cronies who lavish with “gravy” money and assignments.

And of course, they take care of each other.

So, what about everyone else? Well, they are just the taxpayers who pay for everything.

Remember that when the people in charge at the government center smile when they look at you,
they are actually laughing at you.

We just foot the bills for it all.

This County desperately needs a shake up.

The county republican party desperately needs a shake up.

In short, the government center in Woodstock is nothing but a den of thieves.

They should switch places with the inmates in the jail, things would run a lot better.

  32. Regime, I’m so sorry for the delay in responding.

I’ll try one more time with you.

The discussion was Prim’s general election chances and it started with you attacking Doreen simply because she pointed out the obvious…

Prim is going to lose the general election unless he can reach out to the Zinke Republicans who’s votes and, perhaps more importantly, community support he will need. Others joined in the chorus and then, after I got tired the bullying…

Again… I held your comments to account.

To their credit others seem to have joined in the deserved apologies to Doreen for your collective misbehavior.

As part of the discussion I pointed out Bianchi, a major supporter of Prim, has proven himself a bully with low legal tactics to attempt to silence detractors.

He has done this before and shows a deep propensity for continued bullying.

This has been well documented in this blog and in my comments in this article.

You failed to read or read with comprehension so you wanted me to catch you up again. You responded by offering idiotic filth.

Then my favorite little dancing monkey backed you up(hilarious).

Then another poster thought we were discussing theology(just sad). T

he utter lack of frontal lobe activity in the postings by you and your friends bores me.

People try to help you and your friend Prim with excellent advice to distance himself from poor behavior in order to broaden his appeal from a few zealots to the larger population so he may be elected and the response is ever more poo flinging.

We shall see if the people of McHenry County will edify this behavior or not.

They clearly rejected Zinke and his antics.

  33. Priest, you must be on shaky ground to come back with your lengthy comment . . . go to work with Harrison and file the paper work and fill those petitions . . . good luck to you.

  34. Priest, you sound like Greg Pyle.

They give you guys internet access?

If I bore you then get off the frickin’ blog douchebag.

Maybe you don’t understand because your frontal lobe is up your ass.

I want you to tell me about Bianchi’s sins that will be exposed. Think hard and then write another rambling page of nonsense that does not answer the question.

Prim does not pick his supporters. He can distance himself from me if he wants, but I still will support him over Jimbo with the padded legal bills and Stinke the clown.

    Was that another filthy post?

  35. Regime, child…

When you don’t even know your feeble minded whining is filthy you have lost the right to engage the adults in conversation.

Go join my little dancing monkey in utter irrelevancy.

  36. OK, Pyle.

You can’t answer the question, can you.

Is it a dancing monkey or your pet gerbil.

Go back to your cell now.
