“Governor Quinn’s call for higher taxes and more spending is a recipe for economic disaster.

“Illinois’ 8.7% unemployment rate is a disgrace and the Quinn policies have failed miserably.

“We need to focus on cutting tax rates across the board for families, small businesses and companies.

“We need to cut spending, not raise taxes.”

  1. Good Old “Big Government Dave,” talking the talk when it comes to taxes but when push comes to shove refusing to walk the walk.

  2. “We need to cut spending, not raise taxes.”

Unfortunately, you need to cut spending and raise taxes to pay for all the bills you own.

Once all your bills are paid, then you can LOWER taxes.

Do these politicians ever meet someone with credit card debt?

  3. Thank you for watching out for the taxpayer Mr. McSweeney.

If the Representatives such as you weren’t in the super-minority and democrats actually quit stealing the labor of the taxpaying workforce and businesses and giving it to those that are neither you’d have a chance to change the ceaseless corruption in Springfield.

  4. I’ve been waiting breathlessly for Dave McSweeney to let us know what specific cuts he would make if the 5% income tax rate is reduced to 3.75%.

You can’t just say you’re going to cut the Lt Gov either.

  5. Are you equally breathless awaiting Jack Franks’ suggested cuts?
