The key moment in the trial of Saddam Hussein occurred when my Iraqi prosecutors presented the documentary evidence that Saddam ordered the execution of hundreds in retaliation for an assassination attempt committed by five conspirators.

My prosecutors nailed their presentation and a frustrated Saddam stood up and admitted that he had done EVERYTHING he was accused of.

But that moment didn’t happen spontaneously.  It was the result of months of hard work gathering evidence and weeks of rehearsal.

My Iraqi prosecutors trusted me back in 2005-2006 when I told them that we could induce a confession from Saddam.

I am asking you to trust me now … we can defeat the Madigan Family and give Illinois an Attorney General who is not beholden to the political insiders.

The works starts now.

If we wait until September to start getting organized, it will be too late.

Many of my friends lost this past Tuesday.
