Bill Prim Sends Thanks

With the final results showing Bill Prim ahead of Andy Zinke by 97 votes, Prim has sent the following email:

THANK YOU, McHENRY COUNTY VOTERS

Now that the primary election results have reached preliminary certification by the County Clerk, I consider it a good time to formally say “thank you” to all the people who voted for me in the primary for the Office of McHenry County Sheriff.

At the same time, and no less important, I want to invite my former opponent and his supporters to come together under one banner between now and the November general election.

Whatever friction was generated during the long primary period should now be forgotten.

I offer my personal welcome to anyone who is ready to join our effort.  I can guarantee you will be made to feel at home.

Bill Prim as he walked past the camera at a parade.

Bill Prim as he walked past the camera at a parade.

And I don’t want to forget to direct a very special “thank you” to all the people young and old, male and female, who

  • gathered signatures for me,
  • distributed signs,
  • permitted a sign in their yard,
  • walked the precincts,
  • attended a function,
  • donated funds, or
  • did any one of the thousands of tasks that are required for a successful campaign these days.

You should rightfully feel proud of yourselves.

So thank you again, and I look forward to leading everyone who has an interest in public safety to make our Sheriff’s Office the best it can be.

  1. It’s been an honor supporting Mr. Prim during the first round on the Campaign Trail.

Lets all band together in the upcoming months to deliver a New Sheriff in Town.

One who will bring back Honor and Pride to the Sheriff’s Department.

A department which will serve the citizens of McHenry County.

For all that are still undecided please join us this summer and meet Bill Prim, check out his Facebook page and visit his website.

We are fun supporters and all of us are looking out for the best interests of the citizens of McHenry County.

  2. Thank you Mr. Prim and you are very welcome.

It has been a joy to support a man who truly has the best interest of the citizens and the Sheriff’s department in mind.

I am excited to continue the journey with such a fine group of supporters, supporting the best of the best.

  3. Prim has shown time and time again his experience and ability to be McHenry County Sheriff.

This man will restore the moral within the Sheriffs Office of the hard working men and women, and restore the public’s faith and confidence with MCSO.

He will make the changes that are needed.

Congrat’s Mr Prim, and thank you for showing us all what a professional, ethic, honest Sheriff of McHenry County looks like.

  4. I am not ready to call Mr. Harrison a candidate. He has to earn that right.

We need a man with an even temperament in office, not a guy who challenges commenters with bodily injury should they disagree with a comment.

I recall Harrison challenging Lakewood resident and banker Jeff Thorsen by telling Thorsen that he, Harrison, was willing to give Thorsen “Free Karate Lessons!”

Jim, do yourself a favor, calm down and get those 7,000 signatures and get into anger management before declaring yourself a candidate.

Bill Prim, the Right Man at the Right Time? Indeed!

  5. I am sure that “IF” Mr. Harrison gets the required signatures he will be answering many questions regarding his qualifications in becoming the next Sheriff.

A candidate running for any office should have the knowledge and experience it takes to run that office.

From what I have read from Mr. Harrison’s resume I do not believe he has the necessary background to even consider being a candidate for Sheriff.

Only 8 years in the Sheriff’s department 25 years ago…

He does however seem to have experience in the law field but that is not the experience you need to run a Sheriff’s department.

That is my opinion and Bill Prim has all the qualifications and experience for becoming the next Sheriff.

  6. You are very welcome Mr. Prim

I felt honored to support your cause.

  7. Mr. Prim’s invitation to Zinke and his supporters to unify in the general election is a pleasant offering to attempt to heal the split in the Republican Party during that nasty primary.

We believe on our observation and feedback and how we feel at the office, that the wounds are too deep and will not be so quickly forgotten.

We conceive that this long-running split in the Republican Party between the sheriff and prosecutor could only be healed if all players from this feud is eliminated, and I am sorry to have to say this, that includes Mr. Prim.

  8. Doreen, the Nygren/Zinke wounds run deep also.

    We will not forget either.

This county has been run by the same group of good ‘ole boys for too long.

We now have the Sheriff, the States Attorney, the Coroner, the Rebublican committee, and some county board.

    Regime over !

  9. Doreen and the office ladies:

I am sorry you feel this way but I applaud all the other Zinke supporters who have come along side the Prim campaign.

I also hope all of you are going to want to remain at your current employment as I know that when you get to know Mr. Prim you will change your views.

  10. RegimeOver, we do understand that the wounds run deep on both sides, and that is the reason why we feel that all players in this feud we must do away with.

Voter, please don’t misunderstand, we are not a government office, or would we ever work for a company controlled by the government.

  11. “Dorreen” Prim is not part of the problem.

    Never has been.

He is part of the solution…

I personally have lived and survived corruption in McHenry County.

Whether you like it or not, Prim is our greatest hope for positive change in McHenry County Government..

And, Bianchi was railroaded because he refused to participate in the corruption game.

    “FACT”

Andy Zinke and Keith Nygren are nothing but a traveling circus, offering nothing but one side show attraction after another.

So, get a grip….and start facing the truth…

  12. Sir, we do have a grip, and as facing the truth, we will never know the truth when it comes to politicians.

Sadly political power corrupts politicians everywhere in our world, and McHenry County politicians is no different from all the rest.

I can’t tell you that if Bianchi was railroaded or not, what I can tell you is that he has been credit for splitting the Republican Party by the Chicago Tribune and ABC News.

Is this a good or a bad thing, depends on which side you are on.

We choose to be on either side of this long-running feud and we support putting an end to this struggle for political power.

  13. The solution is Bill Prim.

Bianchi was railroaded. I have been told of by the people who were in on the inside deals for payoffs, kickbacks and bribes. That information was provided by several sources that had no connection to each other…….

Corruption in McHenry County is real and affects every aspect of our society… I don’t know where the Chicago Tribune and ABC new received their information but if that is what they reported it is incorrect.

Bianchi went against the Regime by saying “no deal” and he was retaliated against….

    That is the real story..

    Lou Bianchi is innocent..
