The battle for the post of Republican State Central Committeeman is on.

In the 6th District, represented in Congress by Peter Roskam, DuPage County Precinct Committeeman Mark Stern has has sent the following email to those who have a vote in the process.

Those eligible to vote are elected Republican Precinct Committeeman in the 6th District.  In McHenry County, that means Committeemen residing in Algonquin Township.

Dear Algonquin Township Committeemen:

I am a fellow Republican precinct committeeman and am running to represent you as your State Central Committeeman for the 6th Congressional District.  This is an open seat with no incumbent.  There is a lot more information about me, my background, my philosophy and why I’m running at http://www.markostern.com/.

McHenry County is a vital part of the 6th District, and although there is no candidate from Kane, Lake or McHenry, I want to represent every precinct and I take nothing for granted.  I will be calling each of you shortly (if I have your number) to ask personally for your support at the county convention on April 16, and am planning to attend your township meeting on April 9.  I look forward to meeting you, but please feel free to call me at any time at 630-407-7330 (cell) or e-mail me if you have any questions.
