  1. South and east of Crystal Lake, we’re a bedroom suburb of Chicago.

The rest of the county is predominantly upper middle class and rural (excluding parts of Woodstock, McHenry, and Harvard).

Why would we want to encourage more subsidized housing in this county???

So that the rest of the county can look like the depressed parts of Woodstock, McHenry and Harvard?

    No, thank you.

All of you self-professed tea partiers out there.

How about you get on the housing commission and vote against every new low-income development proposal? Be the difference you want to be.

  2. Any idea what the annual budget is for this commission?

It sounds like this commission is trying to find ways to spend taxpayer money – enough already!

  3. It recommends to the county board how HUD grants should be distributed.

The correct answer is “No, federal government, no matter how much you pay us, we do not want to build overflow public housing for Chicago here.”
