Marengo Resident Arrested for Sexual Assault
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrested Marengo resident Michael Zemon on multiple sexual assault related charges.
On March 22, 2014, a family member of the juvenile victim reported the alleged assaults to the Sheriff’s Office.
The victim is over 12 years of age.
The investigation revealed that the assaults began in September 2013 and continued until February 2014.
The offender is alleged to have held the victim against their will and used a weapon in the commission of the offense.
During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at Zemon’s residence in Marengo.
Members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau and Apprehension Unit located Zemon and arrested him without incident on April 4, 2014.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

The charges against the above listed defendant are merely allegations against him. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
