An article in the Southtown Star last week about the Will County Board’s consideration of higher pay for countywide officials and county board members leads me to wonder if the McHenry County Board will raise the salaries of the

  • Treasurer

It’s one of those “stand by” situations.

Salaries cannot be changed within the six-month period prior to the November election.

The Will County Board’s Chief of Staff pointed out that current county board members are paid about $23,000 and is recommending they be hike to almost $29,000.

The data gathered from other collar counties showed that McHenry County Board members are the lowest paid at $20,815.

All primary candidates knew what the current salaries were for their offices when they filed for election last December.

    Looks like Jim and Carolyn Harrison want you to donate to the Democratic Party on their behalf?

    Is this the Jim Harrison running as an Independent for Sheriff?

    I thought Mr. Harrison was first a Republican then an Independent and now wants people to donate to the Democratic Party?????? What is he?????
