Conservation District Salaries — 9 Comments

  1. Over 3/4 of one million dollars for the 8 employees making over $80,000 in salary.

Over 400,000 for 3 directors and their secretary.

And now they “need” money for programs?

    Not one more dime!

  2. Why do they need 10 police officers?

I understand that any serious crimes on MCCD property are investigated by the county sheriff.

  3. Everyone should email and share this story with their friends, family, and neighbors in McHenry County.

    This is just insane.

There is no other way to describe it.

  4. This should also be sent to the esteemed legislators who have no problem pushing this on the taxpayers.

  5. Wonder how much they pidy the contractors that shot deer under the pretense of excess deer population.

Then how many people who paid for a deer permit and hunting license and went deer hunting, yet did not shoot a deer.

  6. Whenever public sector pay in Illinois is considered, it’s most beneficial to also obtain the employee pension contribution, employer pension contribution, other itemized benefits including healthcare, and pension rules.

Because the real big win for most public sector employees in Illinois is not their salary, but their pension and other benefits.

Of course that does not mean any or all are overpaid.

Just referring to how their overall compensation breaks down.

And of course there are many nuances such as full or part time, geographic location, years experience, expertise needed for the job, education required, and the list goes on and on.

If you are surprised at these salaries, with the stipulation we don’t know the overall compensation details, it’s likely you would be surprised at the pay of most public sector employees in Illinois.

Their are probably 52 taxing districts in McHenry County at least.
Could post the salaries and benefits of a taxing district every week.
