Monday Brian Colgan spoke to Algonquin Township Precinct Committeeman and most voted for him two days later.
Here are the McHenry County results for 6th Congressional District State Central Committeeman:
- Brian Colgan – 3,304
- Mark Stern – 963
None of the other three candidates received any votes in McHenry County.
Colgan spoke the the Algonquin Township Republican Precinct Committeemen on Monday night.
According to the IL Republican party website, the list of 6th district SCC candidates had been reduced to 4, with Aaron Del Mar and Dave Diersen being removed from consideration.
I do not know if they voluntarily dropped out of the race, or were removed, but given Colgan had establishment support, I’m guessing he prevailed district-wide.
