STRUCTURE FIRE – 10370 Haegers Bend Road, Barrington Hills
At 10:54 p.m., on May 8th, 2014 the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District responded to reports of a barn on fire at 10370 Haegers Bend Road, in Barrington Hills.
SEECOM Central Dispatch received notification from multiple callers of the barn being fully Upon their arrival at 11:00 p.m., responding fire companies found a two-story, partially collapsed and abandoned barn structure heavily involved in fire.
Firefighters immediately began extinguishment and established a shuttle operation with water tenders to secure and maintain a water supply.
Firefighters had the fire under control within 20-minutes of their arrival and declared the fire extinguished at 12:25 a.m. A total of 11 companies and 33 personnel responded to the incident.
No civilians or firefighters injuries occurred as a result of the incident and response.
Fire investigators have yet to determine the cause.
The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District received assistance from the following fire agencies; Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Fox River Grove, East Dundee, Barrington-Countryside, and Cary.
