Twenty-Second Circuit Judge Michael T. Caldwell was elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Judges Association at the annual meeting held on May 30, 2014 at Kent Chicago College of Law.

Judge Caldwell will serve a three year term. Judge Caldwell has been on the Illinois Judges Association Board of Directors for one other term. There are approximately 50 members of the Board of Directors.

The Illinois Judges Association is composed of 1,250 active and retired Illinois State Court Judges. The IJA provides education and services to its members and information about court operations to the public.

Judge Caldwell has been a judge for sixteen years and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and McHenry County Bar Association.

Judge Caldwell is also a member of the board of directors and past president of the Lawyers Assistance Program.

The Illinois Judges Association also installed new officers for 2014-15 at the annual meeting. They are:President, Michael Hyman; 1st Vice-President, Robert Anderson; 2nd Vice-President, Israel Desierto; 3rd Vice President, John Coady; Secretary, James E. Snyder and Treasurer, Margaret J.
