Hultgren Announces Academy Nominees – Three from McHenry County

Sixteen Local Candidates Nominated by Hultgren Selected for Top Military Academies

Washington, DC — U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today proudly announced that sixteen students he nominated from Illinois’ 14th Congressional District were selected and will be attending United States military service academies in the fall of 2014. Factors such as academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills, physical aptitude, character and motivation were taken into consideration when determining nominees.

“These sixteen outstanding individuals represent the best of what the 14th District has to offer,” said Rep. Hultgren. “Our nation’s military is looking for bright, motivated, and above all service-minded students to lead our armed forces. I am proud to nominate these students to our nation’s top military education institutions, and look forward to observing their developing careers in public service.”
