“Unaccompanied Children” Crossing Mexican Border May End Up in Illinois

A press release from Congressman Randy Hultgren:

Hultgren Concerned Illinois Targeted for Receiving Influx of Immigrant Border Children

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) today issued a statement on the situation involving an influx of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) across the southern border:

“The growing situation on the southern border is very concerning. It appears this administration, prone to manufacture a crisis, has endangered thousands of children by not vocally discouraging them from crossing our border unaccompanied by their family and in the care of human trafficking organizations.

“This week, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legislation in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) contacted my office, announcing preliminary steps being taken to begin moving Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) to locations in Olympia Fields, Illinois, as well as other locations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Hultgren Olympia Fields illegal kiks destination 6-17-14We should immediately halt this effort.

It is an ill-conceived stop gap solution that will only exacerbate the terrible situation for these children.

Moving these children further away from the border unnecessarily elongates their legal limbo at orphanage-style federal facilities while they undergo removal proceedings.

“The administration should be returning these children to their countries of residence in a timely manner that respects human dignity and the law.

“While this situation continues to unfold, there are a number of questions the American people deserve to have answered:

  • What is the real cause behind this influx?
  • What efforts are the administration taking to communicate to the governments in Latin and Central America that these children will not be granted asylum based on the economic hardship leading them here?
  • What facilities—federal and non-federal—will be charged to house these children while undergoing removal proceedings, and why is Congress not being continually notified about where and why children are being moved?

“Yesterday the Speaker of the House called on the president to send our National Guard to the border to help enforce our laws while the Border Patrol has been overwhelmed.

“I echo this statement.

“If the president considers this a true humanitarian crisis and border enforcement clearly can’t do its job, he should send in the Guard.”

  1. This administration wants to avoid the immigration issue so they turn it into a refuge issue.

They use children to eat at the hearts of Americans.

Obama, another fine mess you are responsible for.

  2. This falls squarely on Obama’s shoulders for not securing the border.

You can blame others before him, but Obama’s the President right now and has been since 2008.

How much as Obama accomplished since 2008 in securing the border.

  3. Was the child crisis on our southern border planned by the current Administration?

Go to this link to see a job posting from January this year:

“ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is seeking the services of a responsible vendor that shares the philosophy of treating all UAC with dignity and respect, while adhering to standard operating procedures and policies that allow for an effective, efficient, and incident free transport. The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air.”

How did ICE know they were expecting 65,000 children?

  4. Here’s a thought.

Instead of the government sending our troops to other countries and having them loose their lives over others problems why not send them to our borders to protect the Americans from drug dealers etc. from crossing our boarders.

    Just a thought.

  5. Part of the issue here is that the U.S. is absorbing children that have been impacted by the violent drug wars which have exploded just south of our own boarders.

Many of these children are being protected by the U.S. government which would account for why the U.S.is able to provide ‘numbers.’

I know this for fact as I have had direct contact with the Mexican families whose lives have been devastated by the violence going on all around them.

I have met children who have witnessed their father and mothers being slaughtered right before their eyes, in their own homes. Many of these children have been integrated into our own communities quietly and little by little.

I’ve been able to watch these children grow into awesome students and members of our communities. I believe it is our duty to take in these very frightened people.

The other issues which is another part of the equation to this story, is due to a total lack of immigration control that lands on the shoulders of many, many past presidents, not just Obama.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why our government doesn’t place forth a mandate to the Mexican government.

“Clean out your killing machine or we are going to do it for you.”

I think we all know the reason why this will never happen?

It is fact that the most dangerous, malicious drug Cartel protectors have moved their U.S. base from San Antonio, Texas to Chicago, Illinois.

This is why it is imperative that we have honest men and women sitting in our law enforcement offices.

    Thank You.

  6. David you do have a point and a good point.

It IS imperative that we have honest men and women in law enforcement but I have seen cases where you have worked months and even years on a case and then when you bring it to court for prosecution it goes south even when the evidence is crystal clear.

The cartels have judges and prosecutors on their payroll.

Does that mean that law enforcement(DEA) gives up, no, but at times it is depressing.

  7. David? Are you sure you know what you are talking about?

From what I read, just the opposite is true of Mexico. (I’m not there, never have been, and never will be; so I truly do not know.)

    Have you read Jim Stone?

He lives there and tells a very different story.

  8. I do think that connecting dots is more onto the truth of this situation.

Since everything is planned for our destruction, this is all going according to plan.

And I do mean everything in the news.

  9. JIM STONE???

you have got to be kidding, no wonder you think the way you do,
oh my gosh, people don’t listen to Jim Stone he is almost laughable.

  10. David, I do believe you know what you are talking about as I also have seen a big change in areas of Mexico.

There are many families who do not want to be there because of the Cartels which are very real, but how can we take in all those who live in fear and turmoil?

Yes children have to be protected but isn’t the U.S. giving millions to Mexico and Guatemala to help these children?

I also agree with you about the mandate but that involves securing our borders and that we do not do. Put the military on the borders to send a message.

    Do something………..

  11. Voter shows their ignorance yet one more time.

You know nothing, yet you believe all sorts of things.

You CANNOT LISTEN to Jim Stone.

Just pop off about something that you know absolutely nothing about, yet you have a knee jerk emotional reaction.

Do yourself a favor and quit trying to one up me.

Save your holier than thou condescending attitude for those that will buy it. I do not.

  12. Cindy unlike you I do know what I am talking about and AGAIN people are seeing that you are interrupting another good conversation with other bloggers.

Please find somewhere else to voice your opinion.

Others I have talked to feel the same way I do…..you like to disrupt things as usual.

So we will all ignore your silly remarks and continue to have our intelligent conversations.

I do however feel sorry for you as you are very disturbed and misinformed about a lot of things.

  13. I was watching Fox news, Bill O’R and Megan Kelly and they had very interesting thoughts on this subject.

There programs this coming will most likely continue with this subject.

    Also Hannity was good.

  14. Cindy, respectfully, I lived it first hand. Not from the beach front bar sipping pina colada’s getting paid to provide a ‘five star review.’

Rather, I was a teacher for the Department of Justice on the processing of crime scenes and most of my work was done in the dark of night with slaughtered, beheaded bodies surrounding me in pools of blood.

And yes, my life had been in danger yet I hung in there as long as I could take it.

I saw innocent children lying on the cold tiled floors of their homes with their heads chopped off and thrown in bath tubs. All females in families brutally raped before they were murdered.

As far as the U.S. taking in the most endangered children and at time entire families when possible if the fathers and mothers weren’t slaughtered, I also have first hand knowledge of this.

I have spent time with these kids, some junior high school aged and to hear their stories of how their families were extorted day and night by the cartels unless they gave up their businesses and homes to the cartels they would be slaughtered makes me kiss the very ground I walk on here in the U.S.A.

I find it most interesting that since Mexico’s new president,Enrique Peña Nieto took office, we no longer see the violence on our news channels??

To be sure, Mexico has so much to offer. It’s truly a shame, a crime actually that our Government doesn’t use our power to save our neighbors.

As far as a comment above about Guatemala? The truth there is that if a Guatemalan is caught illegally crossing Mexico’s southern border, there are no detention centers or questions asked, they get a bullet to the head!

If we are able to go around the world to Iraq and pull Saddam Hussein out of a hole in the ground, that we could’t stop these cartels from setting up shop in our U.S. cities?

The answer is…. Our Government doesn’t want to stop it for many, many reasons. Unless and until we ‘sheep’ can understand this, some of us will live very frustrated lives.

I mean this with the utmost of respect to those who have never seen thing’s up close and personal.

  15. I have another question..

If the Government is moving these children have they gone through any type of medical screening?

If they move these kids by air and you have a person sitting next to them on a plane that is going through some sort of cancer treatment and has a low immune system wouldn’t that be dangerous to them? Yes it would.

There are a lot of unanswered questions.

Immunizations are not always required in Mexico and Gautama la as they are here.

  16. Thank you, David. Quite an answer; but you didn’t say if you had read any of Mr. Stone’s position.

I actually believe that you are very correct.

They not only don’t want to stop it – they are hurling the situation at us as fast as they can.

Please ignore my obtuse stalker with the wild-eyed threats and condescension.

Some sheep only know how to graze.

  17. Cindy, no I have not read any of Mr. Stone’s articles.

I can only speak to what I lived and saw with my own eyes.

Perhaps I will look into Mr. Stone’s writings to see where he has gotten his perspective from.

I would agree that many who go to some posh resorts in Cancun, Mazatlan and most other tourist spots.

That being said, Acapulco which was once the crown jewel of Mexico tourism, has in fact, experienced horrendous killings of it Judiciary, ie, judges who refuse to take bribes.

I know this to be fact because my brother in-law has been the head of security for the Mexican Chief Justice. While driving with the Chief Justice of Guerrero, (home to Acapulco) Cartel members of the Los Zetas (now based in Chicago) opened fire and gunned down the Chief Justice.

These things you won’t hear on our evening news, I know about it because I was there!

So for me, I’m not very interested in what Mr. Stone says. I know what I know.

But I would agree, Mexico does have many wonderful places to visit. Just use common sense when traveling beyond the walls of your resort.

  18. Thank you again, David.

Mr. Stone says precisely what you say even about the major cities like Acapulco.

It is very interesting to hear what he has to say because he has lived there for the last two years.

You might be surprised at what he reveals. (Check out JimStonefreelance)

Would love to hear what you have to say afterwords.

I don’t know anything about major media.

    I don’t have tv – so I don’t follow the normal propaganda.

Any insight from actual boots on the ground is much appreciated.

Thank you again for your detailed accounting.

  19. “not vocally discouraging them from crossing our border” – what does this guy think that will do? We have been telling them not to come across the border for 70 years.

If Obama tells them to not come over – so you think they will stop? No

Obama has deported more people than any other president – close to 2 million.

If ANY president or Congress truly wanted to fix the border by now – they would have. I think politicians in Congress like the border to be messed up so they have something they can claim they will fix if they get elected.

  20. Cindy, I just spent an hour or more reading Mr. Stone’s take on Mexico.

I really don’t know what to say. Yes, I was surprised to see he mentioned the exact same state as I had mentioned in my reply to your questions. So if Mr. Stone is your gauge of whether or not I know what I’m talking about, there is your answer.

I agree and disagree with Mr. Stone. He speaks highly of the educational system in Mexico, basically on the ‘Private Pay’ schools.

I had two of my children in ‘private pay’ schools while I was living in Mexico and Mr. Stone’s take on the issue is spot on. The ‘private’ schools in Mexico are superb is all I can say.

Mr. Stone spent much of his time writing about his interactions with locals who seemingly planted the idea in his mind that all Mexicans who leave the country to come the the U.S. are criminals and or just lazy.

Those of us who are in our grey haired years, know to take ‘opinions’ with a grain of salt.

All I know is that the Mexican friends I enjoy in my life, are all hard working men and women who I would trust with my family while I might be out of town. That is more than I would say about my own blood family who are made of greed.

The ‘criminals’ and real Mexican gang banger’s I know, are mostly American born and have like many of our youth, yes white American kids as well, have gotten lost in their lives right here in America.

As far as Stone’s constant comments that only ‘lazy’ Mexican’s come to the U.S? This is far from true.

What about today’s American youth? Sitting home, on the couch, playing video games hour upon hour to a point of addiction, all the while becoming obese. What would Mr. Stone say about our own youth?

Mr. Stone speaks mostly on information he had obtained from third party sources.

He doesn’t talk about the drunks that just lay passed out on the sidewalks or on the curbs of roadways of Mexico.

Mr. Stone I find, is a highly negative man who has a mind unlike many I have ever met in my life.

I could not find anywhere in Mr. Stone’s rantings one single first hand story where he actually worked inside law enforcement.

Stone talked about how great the cars are down in Mexico and how wonderful the roads are.

I don’t want to take up anymore of Cal’s space so I will not get into all that. Let’s just say, that a Mexican taxi, called a ‘Convi,’ are old Volkswagen buses. They cram as many as twelve people in them because they are not regulated.

I vividly recall getting called out late one night when one of the ‘taxi’s’ was hit from the front by a semi, and from the rear by a Bimbo truck, (Bimbo is like our Wonder Bread company) all twelve perished in that crash.

The Bimbo truck was a victim of the crash because the semi tractor trailer pushed the taxi into the the front of the Bimbo truck and crushed the taxi.

The semi tractor trailer had no insurance, so who did the police say caused the accident, the Bimbo truck. Why….because the Bimbo truck had the insurance on it!

Mr. Stone says the police in Mexico are excellent. Huh, well I got hit up for a grand by one dirty cop because he felt he saw I had to many household items packed in my suburban as I was moving to Mexico and drove all the way to southern Mexico from Chicago. Although I was cleared through Mexican customs and had all the proper documentation needed, this local cop stopped me and extorted me. He told me that if I didn’t pay him the $1,000.00 in American bills on the spot, he was going to have my suburban and all my families belongings taken away.

To be blunt, I think Mr. Stone is full of S*#T.

So in closing Cindy, Mr. Stone knows what he is talking about in some areas, but certainly not in the area of how things are really working deep within the government.

It is obvious, Mr. Stone hates the U.S. government and that is a shame.

    Thank You.

  21. lol David. Very concise, once again. Mr. Stone (not his real name) has background in computer and NSA type things (More like really educated Snowden).

Everyone has their own opinion, but this guy is right on target with an awful lot.

I don’t think he just out and out hates the government as much as he mistrusts where it has gone.

There are only a handful of alternative news people that actually fight evil where they find it.

Thank you for furthering our education.

I greatly appreciate your time (and your writing style!).

  22. Well like I said, Mr. Stone doesn’t have a clue, tells things from a third party and as Dave put it, I think Mr. Stone is full of shit.

Guess you had to hear it from someone else.

Jason, you do have some valid points.

I do think that the Government knows exactly what is going on and is implementing their re-made plans.
