  1. All the double negatives are way too confusing.

No wonder legislators can never get anything right.

  2. Well he vetoed something that would have put restrictions on FOIA, so people who like transparency in government are happy.

  3. Don’t like Quinn and never have and this veto won’t sway the people how want him out.

So he did ONE thing right.

I think he is worried and should be.

  4. Supporting Rauner is the only way to go !!!!!

Put it this way….if Harrison wins as Sheriff(but highly doubt it)I’m out of being involved in McHenry County corruption and live by my son in Naperville and if Quinn wins I’m moving out of Illinois and live by my sister who is looking for her future home in Hawaii.

  5. Democrats are not in power because they’re stupid.

    They are diabolical.

This is a no lose situation for all involved but a great opportunity to confuse the middle in the gubernatorial race.

Neither candidate has a hold of their base so the growing percentage of voters in the middle are much more in play than in previous elections.

Bipartisan attempt to try to control The People through forwarding this bill and Quinn rides in to save the day thus endearing himself to the ignorant.

    Smart.

    Gotta love true politics.

Those in power always win if it’s played correctly.

  6. lol Isn’t that what I said, Priest!

Just love it when someone can see through the “intentional” fog.

  7. What a strange vote… Only Cullerton (D) voted against it in the Senate.

He’s the top official in the Senate.

    Shouldn’t he have some sway?

I see Franks (D), Wheeler (R), and McSweeny (R) voted against it in the House.

Althoff (R) (Senate) voted for it as did everyone except Cullerton.

    The Speaker (House) voted present.

Can somebody please explain what’s going on here?
